I want to point out the fact that they took Motormaster's box art, removed the stunticons, put on Prime and Bee, and used it as the box art for this.

That was actually the first thing I noticed when I got these back in August. However, upon further inspection they did change the lighting from purple on motormaster to blue on prime and bee.

They re-use boxart like that alot. If you want a headache, check out the boxes for Legacy Laser Prime and Armada Megatron

Got this set from Hasbro Pulse and applied the ToyHax stickers to distinguish them further from the originals; pretty fun set overall.

honestly its cool to see how much a bit more color makes an already amazing mold even better.

Yeah the more bright cartoon colors make the core Optimus pop. Only thing I miss is the stripe on his truck mode but I can paint that on myself.

I definately want to add these to my collection. I have been on getting Legacy Core/Evolution Cores lately

10:45 in regards to the "wings" on Bumblebee. If you lift the arms out sideways, and can the wheel arches fold in as if they could fill in the gaps in the body? If they could, it would clean up the overall look of the figure G1.

Unfortunately the hinge that holds the fenders on gets stopped by the part that holds the shoulders on, preventing them from goimg more than 45 degrees forward. However, even if this bit was trimmed down slightly so it could fit into the tiny gap, it wouldnt look the best because the bumper would jut out and be not the best looking. I personally use the toy as a bumper or bumblejumper and particularly like the vehicle mode's nod to its penny racer origins.

Bee looks an awful lot like a penny racer.

Those are cool, now I just hope I can find them but my area is full of collectors so it might be harder then I would want.

Weeeell it may be harder than you think since it was a hasbro pulse exclusive. And I got my pre order of it months ago. I wish you good luck on your hunt though. Hopefully it won't be to difficulf or expensive for you.

@@emgo316 Realy? Huh...it was originally a pulse exclusive only. I wonder if they changed their minds on it, or it didn't do well on pulse and had someone else clear the stock. I got my pre order months ago. Either way this gives more people a shot at this fun little item.

I got this for my son for Christmas. I am a bit disappointed that the trailer uses a conversion plate to make it hitch to the Prime figure. I mean there is a 5mm port right there where a simple peg on the trailer can go. Then you don't need an extra part, and the trailer could swing to the left and right (something even the Netflix Earthrise trailer can't do). But, we got this. Still, a miniature Prime with a trailer is damn near unheard of, so I can't complain too much.

Close enough g1 styled transformation for Prime. I'm buying this.

This scales well with other figures of the class. I wonder still how will we be able to get an Ultra Magnus into this size and have him able to armor up if there aren't enough core class Autobot cars around.

I have the core class Prime for sitting in the Ark. This set looks cool. I might get it for the trailer. I know that will be an expensive trailer ha ha.

So, I'm not gonna durka durr about roller, but I am gonna blah bidy blah about this trailer, and drone looking WAAAAAY better than the ER trailer and drone lol. I gave my entire core class collection to my buddy's autistic kid. Cool story there, he's gotta pretty severe case, and my wife cut his hair, which we were warned is a literal nightmare.. So I had the bright idea to give him Needlenose to play with. When he got bored I tossed him a couple core figures, and that was the magic moment. Just like that, a new lifer fan was born. I had 10 or so core class guys, and gave him all of em, and I let him keep the needler too. Maybe I'll find him at walmart and replace him. But that kid sitting there, never even noticing his hair being cut, to the point he got sad when it was over.. ya know, til I brought him into my office, and let him check out the shelves. That look of awe.... LOVED IT!!! I had to be careful, not to let little dude have em all lmao.

I wish he had the Matrix. Which is the smallest Optimus with the Matrix?

licensing. To make him an accurate beetle, they would have to license it from Volkswagen, since even the look is copyrighted. Unfortunately that would drive the cost of this set up by another $10 or so MSRP since it was a niche exclusive and not mass retail.

​​​@@bt1234567892010Hasbro has the licensing rights to Volkswagen already, they just made deluxe class Netflex Bumblebee 3 years ago, so no reason why Hasbro can't make a little cartoony Volkswagen bug for core class Bumblebee to go with core class Optimus Prime & have them both in their G1 alt. modes.

@@Chosenhorse2 that's not how licensing works. different version of the character requires a different license. You can't use the Volkswagen license for the Netflix Bee for a Core class version.

That Bumblebee mold would work for an updated version of Bumper... or have they already done that?

I do the hangouts once a week. The rest of the week it’s regular reviews and the Wednesday builds. It’s how it’s been for quite a while now.

looks cool, but seems way overpriced. Bumblebee looks like a Happy meal toy..... its like Lego, i only snag stuff that looks worth the money.
