She wasn't giving it any head and neck support, so it's head was pressed forward, hiding its neck, making its forehead seem large . I had to rewatch that part multiple times, I couldn't believe she actually asked that! How did she rationalize it in her head? Can you imagine: she spoke with a hostage negotiator and he posed the question, she agreed it's a legitimate thing to ask, then someone had to have approved the script, right? That's at the very least 3 adults, presumably college educated people, who heard it and thought: "Does this question have all the dog whistles? - ✅ Will people have an emotional response to the inflammatory language used? - ✅ Does it paint Israelis as greedy, self-absorbed non-humans? - ✅” But no one asked how it makes any logical sense? How did we get here, where tearing down posters of kidnapped toddlers = activism, terrorists = freedom fighters, rape = act of liberation, and THIS = journalism?
