This was the opening song for the Led Zeppelin concert movie 'The song remains the same'... Filmed in Madison Square Garden in NYC in 1973, Zeppelin felt that it wasn't their best performance. The movie was spliced w/ fantasy sequences w/ each band member, some real backstage footage... and included (the late) John Bonham's thunderous drum solo on 'Moby Dick'. The movie was released in 1976 after vocalist Robert Plant's auto accident left him unable to walk for a year, so Zeppelin were not able to tour until 1977... For decades after Zeppelin broke up in 1980, it was the only way fans could see Led Zeppelin live in concert. For 1970's music, there is a lot to check out besides Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, Kiss, Aerosmith, Heart, Thin Lizzy, Rush, Boston, The Who, ZZ Top, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Queen, The Rolling Stones, etc.... I would recommend these bands and their songs: Status Quo ('Down down' ... 'Roll over lay down') ... Alice Cooper ('Billion dollar babies'... 'Only women bleed') ... Scorpions (Early songs - 'In trance' ... 'Sails of Charon') ... Van Halen (Early songs - 'Dance the night away'... 'Atomic punk') ... Yes ('Siberian Khatru' ...'Future times/ Rejoice')... Rainbow ('Long live rock n roll' ... 'Kill the king') ... U.F.O. ('Lights out' ... 'Doctor Doctor')... The Runaways ('Cherry bomb' ... 'Wasted')... Ramones ('Blitzkrieg bop' ... 'Pinhead') ... Blue Oyster Cult ('Godzilla'... "Don't fear the Reaper') ... Wishbone Ash ('Warrior' ... "Blowin' free")... Judas Priest (Early songs - 'Sinner' ... 'Never satisfied') ... Cheap Trick ('Surrender' ... 'Big eyes')... Grand Funk Railroad ("We're an American band" ... 'Rock and roll soul') ... Styx ('Lady' ... 'Come sail away') ... AC/DC (Early songs - 'Rock and roll damnation' ... 'Dirty deeds done dirt cheap') ... David Bowie ('Fame' ... 'Young Americans')

Hello again Cutie! Nice to see you listening to my kind of music again. It's my birthday today, so it was a good time. 😉Other good Led Zeppelin songs are, "Black Dog", "Bring It On Home" or "Moby Dick". Other groups from the 60s and 70s are Nazareth with songs like "Love Hurts" or "Razamanaz". And female rock bands such as Joan Jett & The Blackhearts with songs like: "Bad Reputation" or "I Love Rock´n´Roll" or The Runaways with songs like: "Cherry Bomb" or "Blackmail" and several other female groups should not be forgotten. Have a good day! ❤

Well, this is different from the studio version. He singing in a lower register, with a totally different vibe. Even the guitar lick is changed up some. In the studio version he shouts this song in his famous higher voice. There's way more swag and he's way more in the pocket. It's just a whole different vibe. You should def check out the Studio version just for reference. It's so much better imo.

If you like Led Zeppelin there’s one song you absolutely positively need to react to, it’s dazed and confused. It’s one of their best songs in my opinion, and it’s fantastic. Also I saw you reacted to some Pink Floyd a long time ago! So I’ll make a suggestion for them as well, money is another absolutely amazing song! Both of these songs have absolutely incredible bass lines and are both take very very creative directions to go with music!

Good reaction! I think you got a point here, if I got it right what you said, if this is what you meant, for I firmly believe that Led Zeppelin is so iconic, so important to Rock'n Roll and music, in a general way, that there's no way labeling this band! In my opinion, they were kind of a transition from the good old rock'n roll to hard rock/heavy metal, as anyone can see in a song like this. And, as we're talking about a tradicional way of playing, the most appropriate suggestion I can give to you is an underrated song (but I like it!), "The song remains the same"! 😉👍
