By one of the greatest blues band ever
The music in the late sixties and seventies was an emotional juggernaut that profoundly affected all of us that grew up with it.
That is the very definition of the term musical masterpiece.
The music in the 70s was played by humans playing real musical instruments. Not digital computer generated synthetic cold harsh imitation sounds. The difference is the connection to your heart, soul, and spirit. I know this is true.

So exciting to have them back!!!!!
There was indeed something uniquely special about the period from the late '60s to the early/mid-'70s. That era never will be replicated and this band never to be surpassed. No one can do blues rock better than Led Zeppelin, in my opinion.
Hands down, the BEST Rock-Blues song ever recorded!!!!
So glad you chose to listen to the studio version of this masterpiece. So intricate and detailed, Jimmy Page as producer captured pure magic in the recording studio, from the organ, bass, drums, guitar and vocals. I personally won't watch a reaction to any live Led Zeppelin song unless I know the reactor has listened to the studio version first. Unfortunately, due to reactors heeding horrible advice from their comment sections, they gravitate to the live versions of Led Zeppelin songs instead. Big mistake. So happy you didn't. Bravo! Peace
Led zeppelin since I've been loving you Live at Madison Square Garden. That's the real deal .
One of my favourite Zep tracks .Thank you man for doing this and your great reaction to it . Was a total pleasure to see someone who reacted like I did in the 70's. God bless you and keep up the good work you make me smile which is a good thing.
it started in the last few years of the 60's and most of the 70's that the best rock and roll music was created!
Since I 1st heard them when they 1st started, I have listened to them every day of my life. They give me pleasure like nothing else can. Thank you darlin for relating. 👍❤🤙
You are so right MH - between 1967-1977 was a golden era for music: Floyd, Zeppelin, Bowie, Queen, ELO, Cream, The Who, Creedence, Fleetwood Mac, Genesis, ELP... I don't think we'll ever see a time like that again. By the way, you did this song already about seven months ago before the ban but what the hell, it's worth doing twice! Love it, mate ❤

@@davescurry69 Exactly, so many cultural, technical and economical forces have pretty much destroyed musical creativity. Too bad we can't capture that magical period but guess we just have to be content that this musical era will live on forever and those alive back then be witnesses to that time.
@davescurry69
Жыл бұрын
@steveullrich7737 Now, in terms of popular music, it all sounds generic. No style and absolutely no substance. And what is it these days with artists telling their fans what the songs are about? Where's the mystery? Did Dylan ever explain his lyrics to people? No. Not once. Ever. What about Ray Davies or Tom Waits, Jagger, Lennon, Townshend. None of them. All it is now is soulless, bland, lowest common denominator music, much like the movies that are made now and reality TV shows; soulless, mindless, talentless. And most of it will be forgotten in 20 years time. But the best music from the mid '60's to the mid '70's will still be played centuries from now (if we're still on the planet, but that's another story!).
From Led Zeppelin 3 .. released in 1970 .. the greatest band in history .. Digging the smile they put on your face .. now on to Achilles Last Stand .. hopefully .. Peace out Sir

Welcome back!! The 70's really started about 1967 and went through about 1976. Like your mind, you can't fit the music decades into a neat box ending in zeros.

That's not how decades work but I feel your sentiment.
the recording engineer said that the main guitar solo was done in one take by Jimmy
Trust me, we were lasting 7 minutes and 24 seconds and a lot longer when Zeppelin was playing.
Led Zep were one of the first big bands in my life. In my early years, Led Zep and The Doors were the pinnacle of the mountain for me. Jimmy Page put Led Zeppelin together after the Yardbirds disbanded. 1969 saw their first two albums I Good Times Bad Times Babe I'm Gonna Leave You Dazed And Confused Communication Breakdown II Whole Lotta Love Lemon Song Heartbreakers Livin Lovin Maid Thank You Ramble On In 1970 they released III and influenced by the California scene, Joni Mitchell and CSN it had a few more folk-ish style tracks on it. Gallows Pole Tangerine Bron-yr-stomp But also typical Zep pounders Immigrants Song Celebration Day and the classic hard Blues you just listened to Since I've Been Loving You The band were roundly criticized for their style of music, and called bombastic and every other negative comment by the rock media... The criticisms Led to Led Zep releasing their fourth album with no discernable markings. No band name, no title... after opening the album, there were just four odd symbols chosen by each band member. 1971 Led Zep (IV) ended up becoming one of the biggest selling albums of all time. It is still the 4th or 5th biggest selling album of all time. Every track a winner Black Dog Rock And Roll The Battle Of Evermore Stairway To Heaven Misty Mountain Hop Four Sticks Going To California When The Levee Breaks and I suppose I'm waffling on.... but it's a great catalog

GETTIN THE LED OUT AGAIN!!!!! YESSSSS!!!!!!
Mark, you couldn't have said it better. This music I grew up with was special, although at the time it was just the stuff we listened to on the radio. We loved it, but we had no idea that it wouldn't go on forever. Watching reactions to it takes me back to a girl, party place in the canyon, parents, dirt bikes and everything else. It sometimes brings back a smell if that doesn't sound too crazy. Glad you're back in Zep Land! Try Achilles Last Stand. Love your stuff! Peace from Southern California!
Yeah, it was definitely rough growing up in this era... 🤣🤣🤣
Great reaction Hector, music of all genre went through a Renaissance in the late 60s and 70s. I wouldn't change growing up in that Era for any other! Peace ✌️
So glad the Led Zeppelin embargo has been lifted and you can continue down this amazing rabbit hole. How anyone can complain about your honest, exciting reaction to amazing music. You are right it was mainly 70s, although Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Black Sabbath and Deep Purple all started at the end of the 60's most of their songs were in the 70's.
Oh my.. i heard this in '83 when i was 14 and just got the first solo down on guitar this year. I can die happy now.. knowing guys like you can appreciate this music gives me faith in humanity. Keep at it. At 5:48 when Jimmy cranks tge volume and fuzzes the notes.. oh Man that is the best. Well done
This was from Led Zeppelin III released in 1970.
Can you imagine being a music lover and never hearing this. I was a teenager when this was all new, and yes you should have been there. I miss those days. Glad you found them.
I love your reactions, Mark. I’m so HAPPY you are reacting to LZ again ❤️ Totally agree the 70s music was sexy AF. Love your videos ❤️
Best guitar solo ever. Jimmy crying along with Robert.
This is what we call the blues, peppered with rock elements. And soul music originated in the early sixties in the United States from rhythm and blues (R&B). So that's why you heard a bit of soul in there.
That bass was JPJ playing the foot pedals on the organ.
You have to do the live version of this Bro.
Your external reaction to Led Zeppelin is what most people do on the inside, including myself who has listened to them for over 40 years. Keep up the reactions. Keep being you and don't worry about the rigid people who can't handle a guy being comfortable with himself. Remember, as a wise man once said "haters go fuck oneself"
Glad to see the mighty Led Zeppelin back on the channel!✌️
How do we get "that lovin' geelin' " back? We learn to appreciate it all over again through people like you ...
I timer here and what a trip. If u want to truly experience Zeppelin start from the beginning. Loved your reaction to the greatest band ever.
Ohhh I've missed this so much, glad Zeppy's back! This song is like pure aural p*rn, I agree. That and Dazed And Confused, there's nothing hotter.

Greetings from Southwest Texas 🇺🇸 Thank you for your best reaction after such a long time with out LED Zeppelin 👍👌
The live version is definitely worth watching, even beats the studio version
in my opinion. one of the best songs ever created, people dont understand the craftsmanship on this song.
Now that is the way to get back into the swing of things!
Somebody really cool once said, "Haters, go **** oneself."
"You and me both" Quite apt ✌️
Spot on Hector. Whatever there was in the music of the mid 1960's to the mid 1970's, it ain't around any more. Hasn't been around for a long, long time and I don't think it's coming back either baby. 😢😢😢
Tell me they are not the GOATS, then I’ll tell you you’re a soulless donkey! 😎🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 This Concert was great, and this song as a store. They encompasses the late 60’s and disbanded in 1980, after John Bonham’s death! Dude you have to do this live from MSG 1973!
It still amazes me that LZ were only in there late teens/yearly 20s when producing such fabulous music, and the lyrics. They knew way more about emotional love, we were the same age. Now Im 73 and finally caught up😂💃💃☘️☘️
You charmed them into it Hector. How could they resist you?
Thanks for bringing a fresh perspective to a song I’ve probably heard 1000 times. The greatest rock band of all time!

Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd ARE the best, in a league of their own. But there are dozens of 60s✓70s bands of pure genius, One of them is The Who. If you want to pop a board, try listening to "Love reign o'er me"!

Led Zeppelin has that ability to touch, directly, that minor chord nerve at the base of our nervous system. Tugging constantly on our anticipation, they envelop the listener into a dark bedroom, where the only light comes from the green light of the FM dial on the stereo. It is something very primal.
