just picked up one for 6$ on temu going to install later, gmc, chevy same wiring on older models, has all of these options, this gonna look good on mommas 2001 chevy

Hey Gary, On your GMC the brake light and turn signals are separate lights. However the wiring diagram for most of these strips says the turn/brake are the same wire. How did you wire yours up so all the functions worked sir?

Well, on this set up you just plug it up to the adapter and it works. Like regular boat trailer hook up. It operates the running lights, turn signals, and break lights on the strip. However it has an extra red wire that must be spliced into the green wire on the backup light to turn on the strips back up lights. At 11:11 on the video you can see where this hooks up to the green wire. Otherwise it’s just a plug and play hook up. Thanks for the comment.

When your installing the reverse wire , does it matter which side, and i got aftermarket ones which wire exactly?

You can get the adapter at Walmart or Autozone. The length 48" or 60" is they way they come. So order the right length.
