LED Light In The Eye CrankBait | One Day Build to Catch
This is the process I went through to make this internal LED crankbait, and try to catch a fish in one day.

Do it!
Next time instead of the LED connected directly to the battery, try using the ball bearings as a way to complete the circuit. I imagine LED connected to the positive side of the battery, but both negatives extend down to the weight transfer chamber. You wouldn't need anything fancy, maybe some thin wires and aluminum foil as contacts. When the lead ball comes forward it touches both contacts completing the circuit and the light goes on. It's basically like putting a switch in there. move the weight backwards to break the circuit.

They sell mercury switches like you would find in a old thermostat. This would work 1000 x better than your bearing idea.

@@floridafishhead1071 no it didnt? whats going on isn't a secret. the exact way he did everything was explained immediately. the video is about the process of making it. not how it works.
To make a summary of different ideas, a few improvements : - rechargeable CR2032, each pole connected to a ring for the hooks, to allow easy charge. - a magnetic switch normally closed, so when you don't use the bait you open the circuit with a magnet. - I also suggest a miniature disco ball :)

that would work perfectly and i would suggest a green led, we use green for bait lights for a reason

@@drunkdogartwork4016 I've seen illuminated baits only for sea fishing. Mainly in Spain at night. I usually fish in rivers, so I don't know the topic. I'm french, and we are not allowed to fish at night. Why green color ? I'd like to read more.

Would love to see you make a dedicated musky bait. Through wire dive and rise or jerk bait with your own flair. You hint at Musky often in your videos and watching you finally catch one in a dedicated attempt would be awesome.

He has made a bunch of them just not in videos. I have one of his jerk or twitch baits with a feather treble 8in long made in 2016
The best thing to maximize the battery life I think would be that system where there’s two contacts on the outside of the body and when the bait is submerged or your fingers cross the contacts the circuit becomes closed
@alf3071

That's how all Livingston lures are
You could make the battery rechargeable and connect alligator clips to the screw eyes to charge it. This is what many of the current electronic lures use.
And just when we thought Nate couldn't come up with a more insane design, here we are. Great video.
If you use stainless wire, you can charge a rechargable battery by having the wire poke out side the bait. You could even use the line ties as the charging circuit. A buzz bait blade would work realy well as a rotory switch, making a flashing bait.
A musky hunt series would be pretty cool. Always look forward to Sunday upload!
A glowing eye would be perfect for your gnarly series!!

Could always go with a small tritium tube for glow if night fishing, they supposedly glow for like 10+ years.

I’ve got a keychain that’s a laser beam caught and sealed inside of it. Would this be what you are talking about ? It stays lit always regardless of it gets light or not.Very bright in a completely dark room.

@@petersmith6974 lol what? You can't catch a laser. I'm guessing you have a keychain with some kind of radioactive material in it
@PaperScarecrow
Жыл бұрын
@@petersmith6974 The tritium tubes are a bit of mildly radioactive material in a glass tube with a phosphorous coating (which lights up when hit by radioactive particles), they glow a dull green (or other colors if the phosphorus is dyed) and are often used on premium pistol night sights. Possibly the same thing you're talking about, tritium tubes don't use laser light though.
Love it when you do a gill pattern and the light🔥🔥🔥. What a “One Day”!!
Dude...Your experimentation in these vids are amazing. Thank you so much for showing the whole process
Just wanted to thank you for all the hard work you put in. Every sunday i look forward to see what marling is up to
I'm so stoked for this build!
Amazing work every time! AWESOME
Exquisite examples of innuendo and a great build vid? Love it.
GREAT taste in music at 16:00, had to turn my volume up to make sure it was what I thought it was. Incredible bait too
One of my favorite haaawwwoooooone day lures. Looked so good. Great job funny man. 🎣
Hey! That is such a cool idea, you should fix the lip and make it OFISHAL. You should also make a little bait with your son, Father-son bonding time
Awesome to see more complicated builds.
I think a "spotted lanternfly" would be a great lure for you to build, they've got some awesome colors for you to play around with and being and invasive species in parts of the country it would be a great way to spread awareness
Wow 👏👏👏 i been away from your channel for one year and you blow me away with all your new techniques. Keep it up and you'll be the best bait maker in the world.
Nate such an incredible bait so glad you are trying different things that are so unique
My favorite bait this year. Thanks for all your work. ✌🏻🇺🇸🎗

Love the LED idea. You might be able to use a reed switch if you do this again, and use a little rare earth magnet to turn the light on and off.
Favorite part of Sunday morning. Thanks nate

What would have maybe made the light brighter I think would be foiling the inside of the hole you drilled on both halves where the light meets. Although there's really nothing I'd change, I love this build, crazy stuff, it was done in only 1 day and even that is an accomplishment on it's own, I'm liking the experimentation in your latest videos, keep it up Guy.
