The bag suggestion is great for those that dont want to have to mess with taking on and off, you can place bag on the tie with a zip tie and cover with a cute bow over zip tie and it looks like the cotton candy u can buy at holiday festivals

When covering the cotton candy with a clear bag, put a nice bow on it. That is a way to make it look as if it is final packaged. Then, there would be no need to take the bag back off, if one did not want to.

Hehe thanks!
I decided to take these on this year for a Gingerbread House Christmas theme, and couldn't find the blocks. What I DID find was a big foam cooler on the side of the road! Since it was large, I scaled up to 1-1/2" PVC for the stick, and since I was inserting into a hollow space, bought a 2" coupler as a pass-through for one end of the cooler and a 2" cap to glue inside (so the stick is stationary) and then hot glued the whole thing together. I used 3 strings of 100ct lights and the same spider webbing, Buffalo Snow, and spray paint, will set up with a slightly smaller pvc pipe cut on an angle to hammer into the ground. Thanks for such a great tutorial! :)
Perfect my friend.
What a great idea. Thank you for sharing.

Love these! Sooo smart to start with the spider webbing to cling and hold and then finishing with the Buffalo snow! I know you talked about covering them with bags when it’s rainy; one year when I made a cotton candy costume I used a crystal clear giant bag and tied it off with a big proportional ribbon and bow and it looked great. I think you could easily bag these in giant crystal clear bags and tie them off with a nice ribbon and bow and keep it bagged instead of exposed if someone lived in a wetter climate. Awww loved seeing your hubby raking leaves in the background 😂

@@IsaacAlexanderDIY sometimes the Dollar Tree has really big clear ones. I know a lot of people use them to put really big gifts inside them and I've bought a clear gift bags. They have them in medium and large. I love the cotton candy and gingerbread people you made in different video. Would you ever consider making the cotton candy ones and selling them? I'm asking because I was in an accident and I partially paralyzed.

I made large Easter eggs with expanding foam in a large 2 piece mould I found somewhere, couple of years ago so don't quite remember where in Australia, possibly Spotlight.com.au didn't turn out as great as I'd hoped as hard to control and gauge the expansion to keep the mould together and get the correct shape, some turned out elongated, others were only half! I spray painted them with neon paint and the looked great hidden around my front yard, plan to do some more one day!
Beautiful

The Dollar Tree bags, typically used on gift baskets, would be perfect to cover these with. The best part is you can use a hair dryer to heat shrink the bag to the shape of whatever you put in it.

For the base, you could use a cardboard box and fill it with the expanding foam to form it into a block.

Man, this message was the best way to start my morning. Seems like you’re just as passionate about Halloween and Christmas as I am (have you checked out my Halloween videos yet?). Considering that I set up 90% of my displays, I feel your pain. All my Halloween decorations came down Nov 2nd and 50% of them are just in the backyard waiting to be put away in their appropriate storage places lol do you post any pics of your displays online so I can see them?

So I’m last minute going to attempt this for the xmas decorating contest (gonna check Tractor Supply for that foam block) but my one question is, how necessary is the spiderweb material since the buffalo snow goes on top? Can I skip that or no?
@IsaacAlexanderDIY
2 жыл бұрын
Hello Monika, so sorry for taking so long to reply. KZread doesn’t always give me notifications when people comment. Not sure if you made yours or not but the purpose of the spiderweb is simply to hold things in place while you work with the snow blanket. I’m pretty sure you could do it without it, for me it was just easier
Omg you are a genius these came out amazing great job also I'd be annoyed if I had to rack all those leaves too 🤣
