    cool, I can totally try this and no complicated tools or materials needed. very awesome. I know this is random but if the world ever ended I could picture survivors trying this and making themselves a nice treat with no electricity.

    Looks great, but I'd totally attach a drill to the bottom somehow so that I could then pour a consistent flow of syrup into it. Also, I'm pretty sure the drill would spin it faster than I could..

    You should attach a cordless drill to the top end of the stick as you can give it a faster and more even spin to maximize your yield.

    I'm wondering if this would work with a pump drill setup and some table syrup or corn syrup. This is an excellent video very inspiring. For those people who were wondering why not just buy the cotton candy this is not about getting cotton candy as much as about solving problems and being creative

    For even more efficient spinning of the rod, loop a string around the rod (3-4 loops) and pull both end of the strings alternately. where r u from ?

    i tried using motor with 3000rpm speed, i use a can with some hole around. then i spin in and pour some sugar (melt) but the sugar didn't change. still in liquid form. do you have any solution sir?
