If LeBron goes back to the Cavs, tbh, unless it's to play with Junior, I don't understand what the purpose is unless he wants to retire there. The team is not that great and I don't think the Cavs would get any further than the Lakers have, especially if LeBron isn't willing to take a pay cut. As a Lakers fan, I can say I like him being around despite the fact that at this point his pay is weighing the team down & limiting what support they can put around him & AD. What really grinds my gears is the fact that the Celtics are getting close to winning another Finals and the Lakers are far from it - that's a competition that will never die, who gets to the next record number of titles for a franchise first, Lakers or Celtics...

He's popular but not the most popular ever. Jordan's last final appearance averaged almost 30 million viewers, and Lebrons last was about 6 million, and that was during covid when no one had anything else to do. I'm not hating, I like LeBron, but numbers don't lie. That being said, basketball as a whole is largely down in viewership since the bird, magic, Jordan, Barkley Era. It was the dream team for a reason. Basketball as a whole is just not as popular anymore, and that is not on Lebron.
