It should be dear, and not only beirut. Lebanon has all types of tourism from nature exploring to sites seeing , rich history, amazing food and nightlife, beaches in the summer and ski in the winter ( btw the ski sites are only 45-1hr away from the beach ,some years we do both in the same day if the weather is good ) I can go on for days but you will only know the true beauty of this country when you will visit it.

I am so excited about going. I’ve even talked to my son about adding it to my list. He’s an adult and is my escort while traveling…ever since my husband passed away. I’d like to ask….if you wouldn’t mind answering me..? I am disabled, but not in a wheelchair. I do have some problems with stairs and I can’t get up off the ground if having to sit without a chair or bench. I also need to know where all the available, public restrooms are located. So, would you see these limitations being a problem in most of Lebanon? *EDIT* thank you so much for your response to my original comment. 😊 🙏🏻

@@melissadunton3534 While public restrooms might not be very frequent in Lebanon, you should be able to get around fairly easily. Most places have escalators, and for sightseeing, you shouldn't face any significant problems. I'm glad to hear you're excited about your trip! To better assist you, could you tell me what kind of places you're particularly interested in visiting in Lebanon? Mainly what’s the things you like to do when traveling. 9:20 To be clear for those who don't know these drinks, it's in the same "family" as ouzo, which is why it turns milky-white when mixed with water (or melting ice): it's a pomace brandy (i.e. a spirit made by distilling the wine-making left-overs - the _pomace_ - such as the fermented grape-skins and all the detritus from the crushed grapes settling down in the fermentation tanks, and which are rich in alcohol) that is flavoured with aniseed; what distinguished the various pomace brandies is how the flavouring happens, and what flavourings are allowed to be used, but that's kind of beside the point. The main topic of interest is that, if you hate anise, these are not drinks for you.

P.S.: You *_ALWAYS_* get more-readily drunk when sniffing spirits, not unlike people huffing paint: the inner lining of your nose is coated with a mucous membrane that is full of blood vessels - and in close proximity to your brain. Long story short, it's like snorting alcohol straight into your skull.

Loving this series! Maguy seems so lovely and just wants what most of us wants. Peace and a quiet happy life and nothing like Sonny to make an edgy joke or two to break the ice. (although i am sure this was before recent events!) Is that winkles (periwinkles)? Used to love eating those in the UK as a kid with a bit of vinegar and some cockles. You don't see many of those these days here in London any more as most of the seafood stalls have gone. I remember when we used to visit the seaside and take home a shopping bags worth of the things from the stalls and all sitting round our white round formica coffee table, with a bowl for the shells, one for the lids and one for the vinegar. We used to then re boil the shells to make decorative stuff, such as a jewellery box from a cigar box to necklaces. Living in London, we don't all go around wearing badges with where we are from and our pronouns. There is a restaurant, takeaway, butchers and grocers in a small strip of shops near where i live, pretty much are all Lebanese owned. They seem very friendly and welcoming and the food at the restaurant/ takeaway is nice and might see if they do some of this dishes. I like the grocer shop as they have lots of spices that supermarkets no longer stock, so it was such a great find but they do love to push those dates! Don't get me wrong as i love dates but only at Christmas when i have eaten too much and then need help with that pushing! lol It is very sad to continuously see so much hate and anger in the world these days, brought on from greedy uncaring governments. #WorldPeace 💚✌(inside fingers showing that we are not swearing, like the outside fingers showing)

Until recently, I would agree with you. Unfortunately, he has decided to inject politics into his videos and has chosen to assault the people of Israel while he touts fish balls. Try finding the country of Israel on any of the maps he has included in his Lebanon tour videos. He promoted the "country" of Palestine in his first Lebanon video but now won't label that country at all while labeling all of the other surrounding countries. Maybe he'll check out the wonderful foods of Hamas next.

My mouth was watering like crazy this episode. The food looked incredible. I lived in Italy for several months in a little town on the Adriatic. There was a restaurant there owned by a family of fishermen. There was no menu. They just served whatever the catch of the day was. 20 years later, I still feel that it's some of the best food I've ever eaten in my life. A friend of mine was a chef staying with them to learn about their food. He was tutoring their daughter in English in exchange. As a result, I was fortunate to eat there a lot. While Lebanon and Italy are very different places, watching you eat with the fishing family was very nostalgic and brought back tons of good memories. Thank you!
