Some of the best fish and eating I’ve had was on lesvos. Wonderful food and people.
Back in the early 90's I worked at The Paris Cafe in lower Manhattan right across the street from the old fish market. The foot rail around the bar was a steam pipe so the fish mongers could warm their feet while at the bar. I would get off work at about midnight and go to the market to see what they had for tomorrow's special. Very cool for seafood. Ah-✌️🐟

The real difference between a $10 meal and a $300 is greed and perception

@BoondocksHuey

If you’re going to walk into a restaurant knowing that it’s $300 a meal, then do it. They’re looking for something that the $10 restaurant obviously can’t provide. People with money don’t look at the $300 like they’re greedy. They look at it as a different option, taste, and experience that a normal restaurant can’t provide. If you’re broke just say you’re broke.

Seafood in New York City can be so expensive for several reasons. First, the high demand for fresh, high-quality seafood drives up prices. Second, the cost of importing and transporting seafood adds to the overall cost. Additionally, operating a restaurant in the city is expensive. However, the taste and experience are definitely worth it! #seafood #NYC #foodie #expensivefood
