when I was small my grandfather who lived in Haifa, said that Lebanon is a great hope for us, because this is a civilized country who we can live in real peace with (I am Jew and Israeli. My grandpa died when I was 11 in 1972). I wish one day in future Lebanon will return what it has been and we can visit each other as tourists and good neighbours. Lots of love from an Israeli neighbour

@Dr retardo Europe used to be barbaric uncivilised tribes for most of human history (except the Romans and the Greek, who were closer to the middle east) while the middle east is where human civilisations started and was civilised for most of history. Calling Lebanon Paris of middle east is a disgrace to Lebanon, comparing a civilisation that is 6000 years old. After the fall of the Islamic empire were set to a dark age and only then Europeans civilised, but that's only a fraction of history, we need to build back our civilisation.

What a wonderful video...such a beautiful country...what a sense of loss. Very sad. I always think of what happened to the people in the photographs...e.g. the kids in the school with their whole lives in front of them. Humanity is always the first victim of war, tolerance the second. Still, the Lebanese (just like al-Andalus) proved that different peoples did (and hopefully can) live side-by-side...thank you for recording that fact.

All out war between the right an the left it started at 13 April 1975 at 10:30 am exactly by a attempt to kill the leader of the biggest right party by the left so it failed then as a reaction of what happend the left killed about 29 persons in a bus then the country goes into an all out war nobody won the war it was ended by a peace treatment it was named the taif agreement 13 October 1990 after 15 years of war and the leaders of the parties who fout still im the rule of the country the war has stopped ( in the language of weapons) it still happening some battels from time to time but we are in peace ( for a while) To give you an example about how was lebanon( my country) before the war the one lebanese pound was four dollars and now its 1500 lebanese pounds equal to 1 dollars So please don't do our mistakes and destroy your country( doesn't matter which country). Thank you.
