Beirut had so many stylish mid-century buildings. I wonder how many survived the civil war? Crazy to think that just a decade later this beautiful city became a battleground. I would still like to visit one day, even though I'm sure the glamour is long gone.

The iconic pool bar @ 8.20! Such cool times. When they renovated the hotel they deemed it too crazy for current mores and removed it. Such a pity.

Lebanon was so advanced and classy back then Wow. Lebanon the only country that did not evolve with time . Shame on the horrible politics. Lebanon shall rise again and take the spot they deserve.

I remember some of those scenes. It’s so real. The service and how they drive. Was that the St George poolside? One day Lebanon will recover because the Lebanese people love life. They will make it happen. They will force it to happen.
