I really loved seeing the med spin progression. 👊🏼 I know exactly what you mean about teaching skating. I have similar problems trying to articulate how to skate with my daughters. Great video!

Good stuff! I had been working on doing a double-toe roll transition (forward to fakie toe roll). There's always another skill to learn, a new sub-discipline to explore. I love seeing aggressive skaters integrate more freestyle/slalom moves like those manual spins into their skillset. But I haven't skated in like two months. Between the summer heat, the AQI from half of California being on fire at any given time during summer, and the ever present Ozone pollution that settles at my elevations, I just haven't been able to make it out to the skate park. Not to mention the broken cuff on my freeskates... at least I've got a replacement on the way...

Double toe! Dang that doesn’t sound easy but looks so sick. I am gonna have to try that during a session or 2. Sometimes it feels like there’s every force out there working against us getting a skate in. I hope that changes for you soon!

Hey 2QS, Been subscribed for a while and just wanted to tell you that I've been enjoying your videos. I like the vibe, the music and the focus on progression (and the jokes). So, thank you for what you've been doing. I can see that you put a lot of work into these videos, and your skating. I got back into skating almost three years ago and it's been so good. I'm trying to get involved a bit in the community and contribute however I can, so this is me doing that now. I started an after school skate club where I work and even had a small park approved to be built hopefully early next year (delayed). I got my wife into it and she loves it, and I've been working on some skate artwork and started posting some quick edits. Take a look if you get a chance. They're not high quality like yours. Hopefully soon I'll start adding some music or try something new. Your current setup is very sexy by the way. Interested to know what you would think of the Oysi frames. They're a very different feel. I really like them. I skated them on my blue carbons for a while. I've skated several different skates since then and I find them the least comfortable on my feet. I'll try a few med spins in the living room this evening. Rainy day here in Thailand. Cheers 2QS! Have a nice weekend. Mark

Thank you for taking the time to watch and for the kind words! Really cool to hear how much you're doing for the sport. I hope that park gets built for you sooner than later. Oysi look great. Still not sure what route I'll end up going. Thinking of trying aeons as well. take care!

I have to say I love my carbons. I do get blisters on my left ankle if I skate too long but outside of that they are really great. Let me know when you post that video so I can check it out! Hope all is well.

Thanks. It is kinda funny how much confusion there is over what the trick technically is. I was just following the directions in the shop task video haha. Might as well learn them all just to be safe.

Great video. I was skating a few weeks back in the basketball court near my house (4x84mm) and my next door neighbour came past and told me that he tried it once but couldnt even stand up (aggresive skates) so he got rid of them. Said he couldnt remember the name but they started with "R" (Roces, Razors, Rems ???) i was gutted. i could have had those. All the best.

I love that your takeaway wasn’t that he quit skating (which is a bummer) but instead was you missed out on some sweet skates. That legit made me lol. Hope your basketball court sessions have been good 🙏 Thanks man! All the best to you as well.

2QS I am trying to figure out a great flat frame these days. At the moment I have in my arsenal: oysi, kaltik stealth and usd aeons. I can doo majority of my grinds on ledges with the oysi frames. Topsides are not working due to huge wheels. Groove tricks are unbelievably hard due to tall H blocks. Rocker sucks on ramps/skateparks. Kaltik stealth - love them on rails. Can do each and every trick with ease. Tried them on ledges wwith 60mm wheels and had a bad time. People say I need to go with a bit smaller wheels. Will go with 57mm maybe today to give it a go. The H block is nice and low. The plastic spacers on frame totaly suck. Aeons - absolutely love the skates. I have not skated them recently on ledges. I remember having some wheel bite with soft 60mm wheels. My dead wheels arrive next week. I will try and install 58mm 95a as middle wheels and 92a as outter ones and then give aeons a try on ledges again. I have a feeling that aeons might be the most universal fit-it-all frame/skate for riding flat out of these 3, but still needs to be confirmed :) Will be filming and posting about this topic of course. But if you have a chance try some aeons or kaltik stealths

Rolling Family I’m pretty sure I’ve tried all flat frames, at least that I can think of. For me, the best of the best is a frame that’s hard to come by right now, but it’s the K2. Both the Frontstreet and the Unnatural frame offer great wheel bit protection, a natural feeling groove, and they ride and feel unbelievably strong and stable.

Jonathan Hayes never tried anything k2, but their wheelbite protection looks a lot like kaltik stealth :)
