Big wheels on aggressive skates? Kizer Trimax 3X110 My first big wheel inline skate experience.

My first experience owning any sort of big wheel setup. I put the Kizer trimax frames on my USD carbon boots and have been having a blast.

    I love the trimax too! I remember feeling like I was on stilts but after that it was really fun rolling around.

    Haha stilts is a good way of putting it. Imagine someone on stilts skating. Might have to try that.

    Love your reviews and the quality of your edits. Great video!! You definitely get the flow of a big wheels set up. It was like you were doing it forever. I agree with you concerning the pros and cons of both the aggressive and big wheels setups. You have to try the Wizard man, you'll love it... I just tested THEM 909 with the 5 wheels Wizard. What a set up, best of both worlds (aggressive and big fast wheels). Have a look at my lates episode so you'll have an idea what I'm talking about it. Great to watching your new video man, I was missing your videos. Cheers!

    I've got a r100 setup that I swap between a couple boots. And man I love them. A tri setup is my next setup for sure. Best big wheel session I ever had was with a buddy on his bike. Thanksgiving random go for a ride and we met up. Cruised up and down town and ended up at a parking lot running lines and doing manuals and one foot rolls etc. Not one grind.

    Those are probably a great match with your carbon boots! You want a stiff boot for big wheels like that. Glad you like the experience. And you went really big! From aggressive to 110mm is a huge jump. You might find an 80mm set up a little more comfortable. 80mm is fast, maneuverable, and stable. But getting used to the 110mm is worthwhile in the end. Enjoy!

    Haha yeah not my first choice of wheel size but I am still happy. As far as 80mm goes I agree and had the same thought. I think it would be a perfect mix for me. Got any recommendations?

    @@TwoQs Well if you want to use some of your aggressive boots and not get a new pair of skates exclusively for freeskating then I think Ground Control has a 4x80mm UFS frame. Thirty and Rollin has some on a pair of his Roces skate I think. That might be the only option out there for 4x80mm UFS.

    @@rollingdubaiguy6415 @2QS Thanks for this video, if only I'd seen it just 2 or 3 days ago! There's also these: rollerwarehouse.com/kizer-powerblading-advance-black-frames.asp I was debating for a while over getting these or the Trimax. I was worried 3x110 might be too big a jump from aggressive... Hedonskate has an offer with these frames + wheels + bearings for under 100€ so I took the plunge. I think 4x80mm might be a better starting point for me after only every doing aggressive skating + I'll still have the option of some grinding...(yeah I know people can & do grind on the Trimax as well) I also have the same USD Carbons which I'll now use for big wheel/powerblading, and I'll use my Gawds Prados for the grinderblading :)

    @@TwoQs I haven’t seen not one bad review. Did you rocker them at all or did you stay flat? I see all of people lower the mid and rear and raise the front for turning stability.

    Got a pair of Roces M12's as a first time aggressive skate comming from regular urban skates. Anti rocker felt so terrible to roll that I ordered these in hopes as a commuter frame to get to and from spots. Hopefully my boot's stiff enough.

  • @TwoQs

    @TwoQs

    Жыл бұрын

    That sounds like it would be a rough transition from urban straight to anti. I haven't tried m12's so I can't speak to their stiffness but hope they work out for you with the kizers! Have you looked into the aeon 72s? That might be a nice Segway from urban to aggressive.

    @@TwoQs I considered something like that but I figured I'd have a really hard time grinding with big wheels skating flat. I though anti rocker might be more forgiving while learning my first ones. Also they where the cheapest aggressive skates i found haha.
