LEARNING HOW TO TRUST | Life in the Azores

The seasons here on the island have shifted, the weather has been more calm and while in these last couple of weeks I experienced a lot of things for the first time this year I also realized that a lot of my fears and stresses stem from a lack of trust in life. So here I am on my journey to learn how to trust life again and I wanted to take you along.
I hope you enjoy. Thank you for being here!

Hello Rahel, you do talk about deep issues in your videos. Personally, I believe that this unconditional trust is deep within us, at our core and that it is always there, except that most of the time, it is hidden by our fears.

Another beautiful video 📹 ❤️. Trust for me has to be earned, but sometimes we Trust when we have no choice. We Trust that we will wake ⏰️ up everyday and we Trust that our family and friends will not hurt us but without Trust it will be impossible to make friends. Thanks for the awesome topic. Hope you are well 🙏.

Oh Rahel what a beautiful video! It has now become my most favorite of all your works . I could go in and on about why I like this video, and perhaps I will do that later this week since I am traveling to Mexico from Hawaii to get dental work done and will have lots of free time for texting. For the moment I am going to watch again and then bask in all of its calming beauty and inspirational messaging!

Alles sehr, sehr traurig. Aber nicht den Mut verlieren. Nicht aufgeben. Niemlas!

I saw this a few days ago and have been thinking about losing trust and getting it back. I don’t remember the first time my trust was broken but that is when I changed. I could never get back to the me that existed before that moment. The broken trusts that came after just reinforced that moment. So I don’t think it can ever come back. Personally I just set my “caution stat” at a fixed rate that I’m comfortable with and live my best life knowing the briars and brambles of life are out there.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts on this topic, Robert. I very much relate to what you are saying and especially like you saying that briars and brambles are out there. Trusting life is a funny thing, I really would like to have the trust in terms of accepting that life is going to happen either way doesn't matter if I'm scared or worried or not. That life is to some extent out of my control and that it would make my life easier if I could just regain trust instead of trying to regain control. Letting go vs holding on, I guess.

@@RahelStadler you said it perfectly, regain trust by letting go because you can’t have control over the world around us. I suspect you’re like me a bit. Knowing letting go is the healthiest thing but there’s always a seed of attachment to the things we try to let go of that pops their head up when least expected. Fall is finally bringing cooler weather to my area, I can’t wait to experience a fall there in the Azores. I’m sure it just gets wetter and cooler. Time to bundle up a bit, ciao

That's exactly what it is. If you ever feel like sharing your thoughts on a topic in more detail/depth feel free to send me an email rahel-stadler@outlook.com The weather slightly varies depending on the island. Fall here on Pico is not that cool, it normally stays warm until end of October with some occasional storms, it then rains quite a lot in November and December and is rather dry in January, February. The coldest time of the year is usually between March and May. I'm saying "normally" because we definitely experience abnormalities due to climate change and this summer the weather has not been normal.
