    Good intention. Appreciate it. Unfortunately not useful due to poorly way of presenting it. Way to fast, to summary, with lack of concern about how it can be clear/ able to be understood.

    Almost every video on KZread talks way too slow and I have to speed it up. I wish more creators would adopt the speed of delivery you have. Amazing amount of information in 3 minutes. Pure quality, thank you! And I very much enjoy my Cuetec cynergy shaft.

    I’ve been playing pool relentlessly at pubs since I turned 18, it’s taken me nearly 6 years to consider myself a half decent player. And I still find myself watching stuff like this. Pools a tricky game once it becomes about strategy and not just pocketing the easiest ball.

You migth not be the greatest pool player :( but you are surely, for me(Niels, Darren, Karl, Shane, Sharivari, Dr.Dave, Venom, Rollie) the best pool video maker.

    I'm going to disagree with some of your things you have said first of all where you put your foot on the shot line depends totally on your vision center second of all almost every single professional in the world shoots with their elbow a little tucked into their body don't believe me just look at every single Pro almost all of them do it

  • @WorldofPoolandBilliards

    @WorldofPoolandBilliards

    This video is about getting new players to a decent level quickly so they can enjoy the game. You are right on the elbow thing, I also watched that video, but this is just a quick introductory video for beginners. Not enough time to dive into these deep small technicalities. Also, I am going to push back on the foot placement. Your foot placement has a lot more to do with clearance than it does with your center of vision. You can make slight adjustments to your upper body placement without ever moving your feet. You can get away with putting your foot over the line as a smaller person, but if you are bigger you'll be running into your body which forces you to drop your elbow to stroke through the cue ball. This introduces a variable most players can just avoid by giving themselves more clearance by keeping their foot at, but not over, the shot line. That being said, there are plenty of pros who broke all these rules and still could beat me up and down the table all day every day.

    Mark Wilson, a mosoni cup winner and coach, teaches this same stance to get the cue away from the body. Alison Fisher for example stands this way. There are a million stances but for someone new learning this stance along with a pure pendulum stroke have the lowest number of moving parts. Mark has turned it into a simple 6 step system. 1. Stand behind the shot and visualize the cb line/ path. Decide your speed, where your going to hit the ball, etc. 2. Step smoothly into the shot the way shown here and set the cue, stop, verify aim. Does it look right. If not, stand up. Start again. 3. 3-4 practice strokes. Smooth and deliberate. Eyes switch from ob on rear stroke, then to cue ball on forward. Some look at the ob last (that's how he teaches) but said it's ok to look at the cb last. 4. Pause at the cue ball. Verify. 5. Execute the shot. Slow draw (say ladies and gentlemen) (about 1.8 seconds), smooth transition to the forward stroke. 6. Verify follow thru. Did it stop in the right place? I know there's a million ways but he started playing years and years ago at a high level and is an amazing teacher. It's a good way to get started. Even some pros still shoot this way.
