This is a Dutch vocabulary lesson in a series of 40 videos, with each video lesson containing 25 Dutch words, a course with the goal to speak Dutch, developed by Bart de Pau "1000 most common words in Dutch".
The Dutch course (cursus Nederlands NT2) is aimed at beginners, who want to learn Dutch vocabulary fast. Of each word, you see the Dutch word and the English translation, and a picture. For learning Dutch pronunciation, each word is repeated twice.
Best way to study the Dutch language lessson is:
- watch the video 1 or 2 times
- study the word list www.learndutch.org/online-dutc...
- do the test; repeat it if you made mistakes
- no mistakes in the test - then go to the next lesson
This is a free course. Bart de Pau is an online Dutch Tutor at learndutch.org and program manager at the Dutch Summer School, www.dutchsummerschool.nl (Intensive Dutch courses in Amsterdam and Drenthe during July and August).
This course deals only with vocabulary. Learning a language is more than that!

Being both an English and German speaker, I find Dutch relatively easy, as much of the vocabulary and grammar is similar. However, I bet it's tougher for a romance language speaker.

Nederlands is geen makkelijk tall, maar het is erg leuk, ik vind het geweldig.
English, Espanõl is een makkelijk taal. Netherlands is een moeilijk taal :( but I like your lessons and exercises.. learning from it coz I wanna move to Netherlands

Finnish is pretty difficult, with all the two dots umlaut and Dutch is much easier. The reason is that Finnish is so different from English and Dutch is very similar to English.

Netherlands is een makkelijk taal
Nederlands is makkelijk, maar ik sprek Engels en Duits ook. Fins is een beetje meer moeilijke.
Fins is een moeilijke taal? Dat weet ik niet, want nooit heb ik het te leren verzoekt. Maar ja, minst zijn die Nederlandse woorden makkelijk, want heel veele van ze zijn gelijkaardig of gelijk/zelfde naar mijn moedertaal (Engels) en naar mijn tweedetaal (Duits). Tot nu ler ik Nederlandse woorden sneler als die van mijn derde taal, Portugees, welk seer langzaam te leren was (ongeveer een jaar, meer of minder, voor ik met de communicatie aangenaam voelte). Ik zal binnenkort zien hoe voor mij het #dutchgrammar gaat. De filmpjes maaken de woorden veel makkelijker te leren. Gebrek aan gesprekspartneren maakt ze moeilijker. Kent iemand een goede krant?

Ik vind de Nederlandse taal heel moeilijk te leren want er zijn geen lessen waar ik woon. Deze taal is in geen universiteit geleerd en de meeste mensen die Nederlands spreken willen alleen in het Engels praten als je een fout maakt. And this is the reason I am about 95% self taught. If you make any...ANY mistake with Dutch, the conversation will immediately switch to English, and good luck getting them to go back to speaking Dutch, even if they know you're trying to learn the language.
