    @@doot7310 Personally, I would love for them to add Vector functions/layers in Dreams. It would unlock huge potential in the app. I know Toonsquid already has Vector functions, but it's not as easy to pick up as Dreams was for me (Seriously, it was very simple for me to understand just from the Keynote alone).

    My favorite path tip: drawing the actual path on its own track. And then the whole video! Great teaching method. I have to remind myself that this just the mechanics of animation. First comes ideas, a story notion, which or what the whole of story. 41:17 Underpaint class waiting list, first class roster filled (2024/03).

    I have this problem with the Procreate Dreams, that I can’t export files that are partly transparent. I’ve been meaning to use my animation in some part of my video. the video is long, about 20 minutes I guess, and the editing process is not finished so I can’t actually put the video in Procreate Dreams and animated on top of it. Also there’s one more problem with the brushes. Whenever you zoom out and you draw something after zooming into the drawing, the brush is kind of pixily and have a very low quality…. It doesn’t happen in Procreate itself. so whenever I want to draw, I have to make sure that I zoom in and draw whatever that I want to draw so that the quality stay high.

    34:54 this can be also done by duplicating the fill group and then in draw mode clearing each frame with three finger scrubbing motion,, you don't have to deal with the frame time adjustment,, i think it's quicker this way

    Is this the best Procreate Dreams tutorial or what !! Great Job man! Just a small question, you kinda avoid using the layers in the drawing mode, any advice on that part? why would someone use it? we are clearly depending on tracks to layer our animation though..

  • @MichaelRelthArt

    @MichaelRelthArt

    Ай бұрын

    tracks are just kinda like reimagined layers for the purposes of animating in dreams. you can still use "layers" if you want, you'll just eventually want to long hold on your "content" in the timeline and select "convert layers to tracks" at some point to get the full functionality of the timeline. however this approach is clunky because each frame will be a group with multiple tracks and multiple "content"s inside, which is why i dont use layers in the first place when working in dreams

    This video is way more helpful than all those shitty ones you’ll find on youtube. I wonder how you work with backgrounds. For example the animation at the very end. Do you draw larger scale backgrounds in procreate first and then import them into dreams? Move and scale them around during? I find it hard to understand. Anyway you just gained a follower.

  • @MichaelRelthArt

    @MichaelRelthArt

    Ай бұрын

    youve got it exactly right! thats what i do but i put the layers in a group, and then into another group and then another so that each group can animate one thing individually: for instance the topmost group animates scale and position, the next group down animates "camera drift", the final group animates camera shake. something like that!

    Shame on create for making this program they do not tell you that the brushes cannot be adjusted. Unappropriate you cannot put your finger down after drawing a line to correct a curve or create a complete circle this program does not have this feature -hi, so if you make a scene like a butterfly flapping its wings, you cannot export this animation with a translucent background to put on top of another video ----program compared to other programs is awful. I do not support any other programs, but even tunessquirt allows you to adjust your brushes and export transparencies - I love using procreate.
