2wd or 4wd, squarebody stepsides give me a funny feeling, 🤣
I grew up with my dad's daily driver being a c10. I remember learning to work on it and both my dad and I could basically climb into the engine bay to work on it. So much room for activities!! Lol
Can we just stop to appreciate the vise grip window winder?

When they came to Kansas Speedway, I gave them a pair of crank handles. But those regulators were/are junk.
The muscle truck was my inspiration for my own 74 stepside “Project SteppinWolf”. Ls swap, nitrous....but I recently took it a step further with a budget turbo build on it as well. 👍🏻

So my assumption from this, is that you could never perfectly replicate this truck. And that is what makes it beautiful.
this video saved my search for these wheels ! I've been looking everywhere for Baja style rims for my mustang. Thanks a lot !! keep up the good vids
Missed your chance to talk about your greatest achievement in life, building those cupholders.
Set of Roadkill = Side of the road
I love the Vice Grip window cranks!
I am CRAZY about this series and can't get enough...Thanks guys. Keep'm coming. Bob/Okc
I love the window crank handles, so useful in an emergency repair.
vice grips for the window roll-up....... classic! I love it!
That MONSTER they pulled out of the crusher camaro, and this LS with that exhaust are my favorite sounds.
You forgot about the SAND
Gotta say- if you're not sure on what to do in life look to these guys. Decades of pursuing their passion and communicating it over different forms of media as the years have passed. I'm sure there's been some highs & lows. It would be cool to get a "Star Wars Episode 1" perspective on Fri/Finn/Dul from over the years. I saw the episode of how David met Steve- would be great and inspiring to see what it has taken to get to where Roadkill is today. Really- thanks for the work.
One of my favorite all time truck's, Awesome!!
just bought a 1976 shortbed step side i fell in love with this one and had to build my own
I love this truck. Makes me want another one.
I’m driving the 79 GMC that my father purchased new that year and left to me after he passed. I had the original block built and she runs beautiful to this day.
everything about this truck is amazing
Says it's a 75 in the description. You guys edited the description! Sneaky sneaky.

depending on the part of the truck you look at it could be anything from 1973-1991 because the 1 ton and suburbans were still square bodies until the change over for the 1992 model year
@alain.r

George Cramer Nope. You are wrong, the new body still began in 1988.

Here Kitty Kitty ! Only on the 1500 trucks. You could get a square body suburban or 2500/3500 up until 1991. They had a facelift to two headlights side by side above the turn signals.
@BoughtNotBuilt

Here Kitty Kitty ! No he isnt. The half ton and 3/4 ton pickups stopped in 87. the Blazers, Suburbans, and 1 ton pickups kept the body style all the way until 1991.

I think the point is, if they offer it for $89, they won't sell many, and they will look like douches extorting their audience.
@Looptydude

It's pretty massive, while not particularly expensive I'd estimate 50-60 bucks at a hole in the wall sign shop, more if you have them put it on. The expense comes in shipping it out. It would have to be rolled in a tube and tubes cost money and shipping is more than just a stamp.
Those window openers! Never change😀
I love everything about this truck and if you ever get rid of it or ruin it I'll never speak to you again, Freiburger. There's just something special about it.
Love that truck !
Damn I love the sound of that truck.

Thanks for the *Free* episode of Roadkill Extra... Will the older episodes of Roadkill Garage ever air on KZread? Thanks.
The Roadkill Muscle Truck always reminds me of something I saw in a magazine when I was kid. Mr. Freiburger may remember an automotive magazine called "PV4", which stood for "Pickups, Vans, and 4-wheel drives". It was a mag dedicated to those types of vehicles and in a time before Consumer's Reports existed, this was your bible, if you were considering buying a pickup, van or 4-wheel drive, because all they did were new vehicle and new product tests. There might be 5 or 6 tests in a magazine, interspersed with editorial articles, like "ask the editor" or "tech tips", those kinds of things. They started in 1972 and were a quarterly publication through 1973, going monthly for the next 10 years until it became "Vans and Mini trucks" in the early 80's, reflecting that craze at that time. Anyway, it was either the 2nd or 3rd quarter issue from 1973, they featured a test on a 1/2 ton Chevy truck. That was a brand new body style then (what we now refer to as the "square body") and the example they got for the test was a 1/2 ton, short and narrow with a big ol' 454/TH400 setup, probably with 3.73's in the rear end (which was the stock ratio all Chevy trucks got back then). Their opinion was Chevy did a good job updating the truck and the drive train made it one of the funnest vehicles any of them had driven in recent memory. In fact, my dad replaced his 1960 Apache 10 with a 1974 Chevy C10, partly due to that article. I remember they did a big centerfold action picture of the truck in that issue, with someone pulling a big ol' brodie on a dirt lot somewhere. Cool as heck, to a 10-year old. 😉 I remember it was red and that redd-ish fender on the Roadkill Muscle truck, plus the short and narrow bed and square body body style, always takes me back to seeing that picture in that magazine (which I might still have....somewhere). Anyway, little anecdote from my life experiences.
The sound of this truck is the best part about imho. I could imagine a whole Opera with that.
wait... is he wearing shoes?!?

This truck kicks ass
road kill needs its own channel. I'm sure motor trend could sort that out
My favorite part of the truck has got to be those custom window cranks.
This is my dream truck.
i love that thing...
one of the best Road Kill cars
This is the vehicle that got me interested in roadkill...my favorite roadkill vehicle besides the Rotsun. I also have an Ls swapped 74 chevy truck but im replacing it with an 83 also with an LS swap
My impression is that Roadkill has stopped being Roadkill and has started only talking about Roadkill.

Ok being in this video you said it had a 350 ford rear end would that be a great gear ratio for a 5 speed in my 78 c10 i live in the hills of nc so alot of mtn roads to drive n thrash around on but im wondering if the 350 gear would be good for the 5 speed manual im swapping in
Bring the muscle truck to Indy this fall. My first truck was a 76 Chevy Stepside with a discounting 250 tree speed trans. I loved the truck, but 65 mph was its top speed. Would love to see the muscle truck in person.
I need me a Muscle Truck!
I love the rims on the truck
Oh dream truck , when will i find one like you.
i really want this truck :)
