Learn How To Use Foot Feints In a Fight | You Can Set Up Punches

Спорт

You Can Set Up Punches. Learn How To Use Foot Feints In a Fight. Tom Yankello of the World Class Boxing Channel is back with another Orlando Canizales move where he has you learn how to use foot feints in a fight so that you can set up punches. In this drill you will learn how to throw two jabs, step, weave, and quickly pivot around your opponent. In the drill Tom displays why using a slide step in a fight is to your advantage with this move because then you can set up punches off of it. Tom shows you how performing the movement correctly builds momentum for the punches. Tom also shows you a tick-tock movement to mesmerize your opponent so you can hit him. In using a repeat movement to hit your opponent, Tom breaks down the correct shoulder trajectory, hip rotation, and footwork that goes along with it. You can set up punches and you will learn how to use foot feints in a fight by watching this video.

Thats why a high level boxer vs a high level mma fighter has the advantage.

@@LEX-hl6wq The only place a boxer has an advantage is mid range standing since that's where punching is extremely useful compared to other combat methods, close range MMA fighters have knees and elbows and far way they have kicks. Then when things get to the ground the boxer is screwed. 9/10 times an MMA fighter wins. Respect to both sports, though.

Such a beautiful move, feels natural too with the hip movement especially after that right feint, loads you up to duck left, rotate the hips load up again and like a spring you set up that angle with that perfect lead hook to follow. I could see this flowing well with some Mike Tyson techniques. Superb explanation.

Hear! Hear! Long, long, long, long... over due credit to one of the best footwork in history of championship boxing: Orlando Canizales. Gil Clancy, used to say, "I like the way he hides right in front of him (meaning Mr. Canizales' opponents had frustrating difficulties hitting him)." Great video excellent detailed explanation. Mr. Canizales, one of my favorite boxers, could also fight in the opposite direction; to his left and inside of & towards the right hand of right-handed boxers.

Love this! But after he makes his final shift to the right, could he not take his opponents head off with a power shot right? Both work, but as the his opponent is trying to make his own shift to face him, wouldn’t be a perfect time, while his opponent is off his game, and changing footwork, to just say “goodnight” with Danny’s power hand?

What about rotation to the left? It seems to be more difficult, should one train both ways?
