If you want to get better at understanding, speaking, and being understood in French, it’s important to focus on learning spoken French - which, actually, is quite different from the written French that you probably learned in school.
I know not everyone has the opportunity to travel to France, and maybe you don’t have anybody in your life that you can practice French with - and that’s okay! I encourage you to learn using French media, like finding a French podcast or TV series that you enjoy.
In today’s lesson, I want to show you one of my favorite French TV shows: Lupin, which just came back for its third season on Netflix. Together, we’ll watch and analyze a clip. We’ll pay particular attention to the spoken French grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation so you can identify the differences between spoken and written French.
Take care and stay safe.
😘 from Grenoble, France.

This is just what I have been waiting for! I can follow formal broadcasts fairly well at full speed, but I don't even bother to go to see films, because the subtitles are so distracting (and frequently incorrect!). Chapeau!

I binged Dix Pour Cent last week with the sous-titres en français. Funny show. There’s still a lot that I don’t know but by the third season I started noticing many times where the actor said a different word than the subtitle. So annoying!

The explanation is that Assanna speaks with an Africain accent.

Lupin is an African ? ? I don't remember that in the book..? I think he might have mentioned it in passing .

Yes , Lupin was a master of disguise who could pass unnoticed almost anywhere. ? He was not a 2 metre tall African ! Ridiculous but typical of the depths that liberal white guilt will sink to in destroying their own culture. By all means let's have a black detective in TV. But don't pretend he's Arsene Lupin.?!
