My DNA suggests I'm 78.5% British and Irish and my top location after London (Which I tend to discount because a lot of people probably moved to the big city at some point) is West Midlands, with Birmingham smack in the middle. When I lapse into British accents I think this one tends to be the most natural, though I never realized what it was until now. I find that sort of thing fascinating. Sort of an echo from the past.
