He's a guy who looks like a model, but plays some seriously dark roles. And really captures the insanity or emotions the film wants. Like in 28 days, he really played a man trying to survive a nightmare. Very realistic. He's a very talented actor. Very rare to have an actor with his looks not be top of the tabloids.

I think Jim is really brilliant as Cillian Murphy.

He is one of those actors who just does his job, isn't involved with any scandals, doesn't show up dressed like a hobo or like a peacock and thus doesn't become a talked about super star, but he definitely shaped modern cinema. Great dude.

His vocabulary at times impressed me, his personality also fascinates me, if you see him in other interviews when he's not talking he's got that 1000 mile stare but he still listens to what's going on, he also mostly keeps to himself and always puts on strong performances; that's why we appreciate him I guess.

Nolan clearly thinks so very highly of Cillian, keeps him bringing him back. I’m really glad Nolan finally made a film with Cillian as the lead, I look forward to the Oppenheimer film.

Breakfast on Pluto was a movie where Cillian Murphy stole my heart. You can smell, feel and breath the person he is portraying. It's like a smooth river that takes you in it's flow and never let's go. Very enjoyable, very intense, also scary.

And now Cillian can add "Oppenheimer" to this great list. I can't wait to see what other projects he'll be a part of. He's really a fantastic actor, but he's also a genuinely kind and humble person. We see how attached he is to the character of Thomas Shelby...he understands it so well. That's why we love him so much in this role. I love Cillian Murphy, he is so humble and down to earth.

He has always been one of my favourite actors ever because he's not yelling and screaming in every role he's in, when emotion has to be portrayed he just FEEEEEELS - you can see it in his big beautiful blue eyes everything that he's thinking and that's just amazing

It's funny how you seem to forget Cillian Murphy was in some of these great films, like inception for example. Yet despite not being the main characters for these films his performance is always amazing. he has a wide range of acting too which I think also makes him less noticeable in these films sadly because he can be so different role to role.

No Red Eye? That's an underrated thriller and really, Cillian carried it, he was perfect in the psycho role. He's in general not a guy fit to play just ordinary dudes, his face, eyes, and the way he talks are too expressive and specific. Due to his specific eyes/face and voice, he really is a good fit for intense or complicated characters. I think he would make a great Bond villain.

I don't think anyone else could portray Tommy Shelby on or even near his level! He one of the GOATS

Quickly has become one of, if not my favourite actor. Not only is he incredibly talented, but I just love how down to earth he is. I cannot wait to see him in Oppenheimer.

Cillian did awesome as Scarecrow. He was also amazing in Red Eye. He's like Gary Oldman, without the chameleon ability of changing his appearance. And that's a compliment. He's the actor's actor.

He’s just such an incredible actor, love watching him show his range across all of these different roles over the years. But why didn’t they have him talk about Red Eye?

I lost my mind when Tom hardy showed up in Peaky Blinders

I’ve never seen him do a bad performance, he always commits 100%.

Now J. Robert Oppenheimer in OPPENHEIMER is his most iconic role now.

He's such an underrated actor. He is able to clearly portray the scene with just his eyes and facial expressions.

I think that’s why Tommy is so great to watch. If you’re not paying attention to him you can miss a lot of his emotions. I especially love when him and Alfie/ Tom Hardy are together, they play off each other so well.

He is so humble - he thinks the reason the grave scene in PB s2 is so popular is because it was "brilliantly written and brilliantly shot" - Err no Cillian, it was because it was brilliantly ACTED - by you! Yours, All Viewers Everywhere.

Cillian was truly amazing in Breakfast on Pluto. Great acting, great writing. Worth a watch if you haven’t.

He's fantastic with accents, I've always known he was Irish (as I am) but I think this is the first time I've heard him speak in his own accent. It's so jarring to hear your own accent coming out of a body that you've associated with so many other voices.

Yes I like that they added that in the movie because in the comics when he doesn’t have the mask on he is not so intimidating. I think him being and intimidating person with and without the mask was a good addition to the character. Especially looking at how Johnathan Crane was already being the Scarecrow

I can't see enough of Cillian, such a great actor he is. He deserves more and more recognition and appreciation ♥️

I was surprised too but I think he agreed to this because it purley focuses on the films and his performaces in other things and it doesn't really go into any personal detail so I think thats why he was comfortable with it.
