One thing I truly appreciate about Willem Dafoe is the fact that unlike other Actors, he appreciates the art of a performance. Its not just another acting gig, but a artwork in his portfolio. He enjoys the behind the scenes aspects, and really performs in a vast range of films. He really enjoys the art of performing, someone who really loves and knows alot about their job, but also is fascinated in the writing and directing side of things. It's not just about him performing, but he understands what goes into a film and the effort it requires and how he wants to do his best at fulfilling the creators creative intention. A true inspiration in the acting world.

I met Mr Dafoe at a wedding many years ago in Brooklyn. I teach religion at a private school and was always intrigued by his death pose in Platoon when he opens his arms as he is dying. In my conversation with Mr. Dafoe, I asked him he was trying to achieve a Christ like scene as his character was killed because he stood up for others, he said, “you know, I never thought about but in retrospect I probably was on some level looking at his death in christ like way” Pretty cool stuff. Mr. Dafoe was incredibly kind and generous with his time especially with someone asking him introspective questions at a wedding reception!
I loved him in American Psycho as well, the way it sort of brought us into Bateman mind as his character was so hard to read, you didn't know what he knew, you were inferring and imagining no where near to the way Bateman was hallucinating but to start imagining in the way he does.
He has a weirdly satisfying voice 😂

I see what you did there
His voice soothes me and takes me back to my childhood
I was a little kid the first time I watched him I could tell he was a seriously important actor. He’s totally underrated and has a huge presence on screen
This whole series is great...but for whatever reason his interview is one of the most pleasant ones I've seen so far. Maybe it's his gracious nature...or that very distinct voice. But this one interview is my favorite so far.

Mr. Wolf - 😂😂😂 Always a keyboard warrior somewhere to act like Mr. Badass. I meant as a globally recognized actor, someone everyone knows, whether you’re 60 or 16. I’m talking actors like De Niro, Nicholson, Oldman, etc. compared to most of the big actors out there, he’s relatively low key to a lot of people. When did I ever say he was completely unknown and that I was a teenager? I’m a film major and I’ve worked on films. I’m well aware of who he is. lol.
One of my favorites. He has an extensive background in theater. Just seems like an incredibly modest and down-to-earth guy that doesn't take his talent or privilege for granted. I also how involved he seems in the film making process, like he's genially interested in the entirety of it
I was always intrigued by him in Spider-Man. I was a bit scared of him, but also drawn to him. Such a great actor! I also loved him in the game “Beyond Two Souls”.
No American Psycho! Loved him in that movie....Willem has been a phenomenal actor for so many years...what a career

The ThanksGiving scene in Spiderman 1 really demonstrates how well those movies handle implementing comedy in dramatic scenes without breaking the tension of the scene completely, a lot of it is visual comedy and not in your face like the mcu can be sometimes.

That's part of the humor that he was talking about.Or where he basically tells his son Harry to screw Mary Jane and then dump her(within earshot of Mary Jane). You could see he was having a lot of fun as Norman Osborne/The Green Goblin and he was able to go over-the-top with the part and it still worked! There's no such thing as overacting when you're playing The Green Goblin.
