I’ve heard countless stories about people that have had encounters with Damon; Every single one-was about him being the nicest guy ever. Literally, every one of them.

I'm kind of surprised by how down to earth and likeable Matt Damon is. Nothing but good things to say about everyone he's worked with .Honest and humble. You're a good guy, Matt!

I’ve met a few ‘celebrities’ and most are nice people but a few are really genuine down to earth people who make you feel welcome, Matt Damon is one of them but I have to also say that Dwayne Johnson, Keanu Reeves and Elijah Wood are also incredibly polite, humble and friendly. There’s 3 celebrities I’ve met though that are just not nice people with a horrible ‘do you know who I am’ attitude.

On an unrelated note: I would love it if they did one of these for Robin Williams, but have his kids, wife, friends, colleagues etc share their stories and experiences of working with him. Like have Matt Damon or Ben Affleck talk about Good Will Hunting, Mara Wilson or Sally Field could talk about Mrs Doubtfire, Dustin Hoffman or Steven Spielberg could talk about Hook, Al Pacino or Christopher Nolan could talk about Insomnia, Kirsten Dunst could talk about Jumanji, his daughter could talk about Aladdin, that kind of thing. Idk, hearing Matt Damon talk about Good Will Hunting just reminded me how much I miss him.

What I DO know (at my age) is how to apply discerning judgement to a persons authenticity after meeting them even briefly (such as this interview), and he strikes me as the kinda guy who I’d think is a very decent and balanced person irrespective of fame and wealth.

It's only when you stop and look back that you realise how many quality movies this guy has been in. He is a real star.

Damon is one of the most articulate , ego free and engaging actors around . Always enjoy his storytelling and insights into the movie business

It's been said a bunch in here but im going to say it one more time...its amazing how little he spends actually talking about himself and his characters. He has such admiration for everyone he's ever worked with and wants to talk about them instead. Really refreshing to see a completely humble movie star.

I love that he's quick to give praise and credit to others (like to Robin and to stunt teams). That quality makes a person exceedingly admirable.

I also like how he still did a ton of training and didn't just "let the stunt people do it". Like he said, it hold the shot longer when it's YOU doing it. Keanu is obviously one of the GOATs for still doing insane amounts of training for Hollywood movies, but I respect anybody who goes further in training for their role. Matt was awesome in Bourne.

Matt Damon has one of the greatest career in modern movie history. He's a incredible actor and so humble. Not a surprise that he got so successful.

I'm always a sucker for spy movies and to me the Bourne trilogy is great not only because of the scenario but also of the physicality of the fights and chases scenes, grounded in real techniques. Plus Matt is of course great !

Never understimate Damon's Jason Bourne trilogy because it revolutionized action movies forever. Besides they are very good movies, they're probably the most credible action movies EVER. Not to mention that hundreds of movies have copied Bourne stunts afterwards and that deserves recognition.

yes i can back that up. i was going to be in a talk show audience where matt was appearing and i knew there might be a chance to see/meet him when he arrived through the parking lot. there was a small group of fans out on the street corner waiting to wave at matt as he drove into the lot. i was driving by at the time and i see this big black SUV pull over and stop at the curb where the fans were gathered...it was him. so i hoped out of my car and ran over. he was there talking to the small group and i walked up and he was very kind and sincere. thinking back i wish i would have carried on the conversation a little longer because I am sure he would have easily allowed it.

I am amazed at how articulate Mr. Damon is. Loved him the Martian.

Interesting how Matt Damon was in two genre defining films (Private Ryan and the Bourne franchise). Both films changed how Hollywood made films of those genres and there he was. Matt is truly one of those actors that you can tell is such great guy.

He is next cast in Nolan's next film about Robert J Oppenheimer. I think the title will be called Oppenheimer but that can ways change Another one who is joining is Robert Downey Jr

wow. thank you for taking the time ... I found this to be a really interesting insight to the foundation of films that we love and your relationship with the directors and fellow actors is something I would not have guessed.

Thanks for all the hours of entertainment you have provided. I have read The Martian twice, once before watching the movie and once after. When I read it the second time, it was in your voice. The impact of the story was so much more intense having a face and a voice to go with the character.

What I really love about Matt Damon is his ability to play a likeable good guy and a despicable bad guy with equal skill.

The Talented Mr. Ripley is one of my all time favorite movies, everything about it just hits perfectly. Matt Damon is absolutely incredible in it, it was the movie that made me realize how talented he is, pardon the pun.

I watched it for the fifth time two nights ago. It was riveting. One of the few times you feel guilty for realising that, by the end, you're rooting for the villain, when you shouldn't be.

Love his praise for Robin. Truly a one-of-a-kind man.

Stillwater is my FAVORITE Matt Damon film. He wasn't Matt in that film. He was his character, big, burly and honest. He should have been nominated for an Academy Award for it. Just amazing.

Matt is one of the truly great actors of his generation and, by all accounts, one of the great human beings as well. God bless you, Matt!

The Talented Mr Ripley is one of the most perfect films I’ve ever seen. Acting, scoring, cinematography. It’s Matt’s best performance.

@@valinorean4816 Yeah it is although I’ve heard folk just use the more direct “DILF” for that. (The silver tends to refer specifically to a man whose hair has now actually turned grey.)

I didn’t exactly to expect it to be included with how many incredible projects he’s been a part of BUT We Bought a Zoo? That is such an incredible story in grief and healing. LOVE IT

I remember meeting Matt when he was filming in Avalon, PA for the movie "Promised Land" (it was about fracking, great movie that doesn't really pick a side of the debate). He was so down to earth and didn't treat any of the extras (which were all locals) like the hillbillies we're often portrayed as.

He's so amazing, a natural talent and so humble.

Rounders, Green Zone, Hereafter, The Monuments Men. This video could have easily been 40mins. Thanks you Sir for the good performances you've given us.
