Le Puy Camino: Lectoure to Arzacq | Part 6 (Via Podiensis)
Welcome to part 6 of our 1500 km Camino along the Via Podiensis - from Le Puy-en-Velay, France to Santiago de Compostela, Spain. In this episode we get lost in the cornfields, meet friends in Condom, pet a cat in Romeiu, taste Armagnac in Éauze, and make new friends in Air-sur-l'Adour.
We started the Via Podiensis (Le Puy Camino or Chemin du Puy) on August 7, 2023, spending 28 days walking in France, arriving at Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port on September 3rd. From there, we continued on the Camino Frances, arriving in Santiago on September 29th.
This is our first time walking the Via Podiensis and our second time on the Camino Frances. We have hiked several other Camino routes in Spain including the Camino Primitivo (May 2023), Camino de Invierno (March 2023), the Camino del Norte (July 2019), and the Camino Frances (September 2017). We packed ultralight bags for all of our journeys.

We LOVED meeting you, too! It was the absolute best way to end our walk that day. You guys were so cool giving us hugs even though we were so gross and sweaty lol. Let's meet again randomly somewhere in Europe. Big hugs 🤗❤❤
Your beautiful videos have totally sold me on this camino! More than any other... I hope this old body holds up long enough to be able to go do it.

Thank you so much! We saw people of many ages walking this route. Start with a shorter distance and work your way up (or don't! There are so many beautiful places to stay).
So close to SJPP! 🙌🏼 We are taking lots of notes. Question - have you seen as many toilets along the way now that the scenery has changed? We leave for Paris in 199 days but who's counting. Lol

Great question. After Conques, there are way fewer toilets. They still exist, but they aren't around every corner. Let the countdown begin!
