That heat is too much!🥵 I love those sunflower field days! You are so right about getting out of the villages and away from the pavement. We always book rooms with A/C on rest days, they are so needed! Those clouds made us so happy for you guys! We love those random fruit stands! 🥳 Happy trails!! - Michelle & Brian

Yeah, that heat was awful. But at least it was an excuse to get up for those beautiful mornings! Sunflower sunrises were such a highlight. 🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻

Hi and thanks for all the vids. I was looking for another camino to do next year and I think I may have found it. We (my wife and I ) will hopefully be in the Podiensis next Sep/Oct and looking forward to it already and I hope it will be cooler then with less mozzies !

I think this yellow makers are for bikes. In Lauzerte we stay at Gite chez Serge and the man made for dinner, home made soup, vegetables, roast pork and homemade apple pie. It was our favourite stop and the one we mostly talk about.

Yellow for bikes makes sense. We also found out later that the reroute was pretty new, only a few weeks old. Saw it on Gronze but of course we saw it that evening. What a great memory in Lauzerte! Everywhere in that town feels so welcoming and caring to pilgrims.

I love your happy go lucky attitude, even through wrong turns and pretty unbearable heat. Makes it much more enjoyable to vicariously share the journey. I see Lainey has her right knee wrapped up. Injury or a little discomfort from many miles? What were the actual dates for this adventure?

Thanks so much. This video is from August 21-25. We walked the route from August 7-September 3rd. The knee brace is just preventative from an old injury. It did great with the brace and some arnica gel.

You weren't lost. You were just inadvertently detoured.

The larger snakes aren’t poisonous. They’re really easy to see. We just waited until they got off the path or walked as far away as we could. There are small vipers that are slightly venomous, but we only saw one of those the whole time. Keep your eyes peeled. And if you do get bit (unlikely according to the French hikers we met), you are never that far away from a road, a taxi, and then a doctor.
