I’m a bit stupid and at the start of the build process, because I was unsure how I was going to floor my van, I decided to wait until I had installed my kitchen and benches before I installed my vinyl flooring. I figured the less surface area I had to cover, the cheaper it would be.
I ended up having to order the exact same amount I would have if the van was empty but had the added task of having to cut around my furniture. Silly.
Having said that though, the process was fairly straight forward. The vinyl cut almost like butter with a Stanley knife and I fixed it in place with some double-sided tape. I then went round the edge with clear and water-proof sealant to help make a water-tight seal.
