When does life begin? If religion is a factor, God told Jeremiah, "before I formed you in the womb I knew you" (Jer 1:5). If science is a factor, the good doctor was right about conception. If your mother would have elected to abort you, she would have killed you. If common sense is a factor, certainly a heartbeat would indicated a life (we are pronounced dead if we don't have one). Keeping with common sense, and the good doctors' point, if dependency is factor of when life begins, it would be fine to kill a child up to what age? The stupidity of even putting this thing on the ballot is beyond comprehension, but the evil of this proposal, and the way it is written, is blatantly apparent.

If a woman has a misarrange if prop 3 fails, EVERY miscarriage is a potential crime scene... "Did she end the pregnancy? I heard she didn't want to be pregnant". Call the cops.

@jlahuis Seriously, you didn't listen to the whole video where they site the EXACT text on why it doesn't protect States Rights to Regulate Late Term Abortions. That phrase is completely GUTTED by the rest of the text. You also probably didn't read the full amendment text as it was written within the petition for proposal 3. Read and understand the FULL TEXT as it was signed during the petition drive not just the summaries that are going on the ballot. The summary is NOT the amendment. It is just a summary. The amendment is written with extreme bias intended to get people to vote rather than to understand what they are voting for.

Great video , we would all be served better if the speakers could cite some sources for their claims. Down in the comment section I'd like to see timestamp links to every claim the Doctor and Lawyer make about the amendment, with a link to the relevant section in the amendment itself (or the propositions webpage since the amendment itself a bit scant on details) I'm not seeing some of these claims on they say the proposal makes. I'm voting "no" but I think we should make it easier on those still on the fence.

The Ballot Language was drafted by the Amendment proponents. It only provides their summary of what will be changed in Michigan's Constitution. I like the astronaut analogy. If I build a spaceship and someone steals it and takes it up into space, can I ethically activate a remote self-destruct mechanism, ostensibly to, say, prevent someone else from obtaining the technology that went into it? Can I abort that astronaut, because he's using something that belongs to me?

That's kind of the logic being used by the pro-aborts: Someone else is using something that belongs to me, without my permission (though that argument really only applies in cases of rape or incest), so I should be able to prevent them from using it, at my own will, at any time, no matter how much they're depending on it, even if it's to sustain their own life.

If a 21 mi ute video is too long for you why do you think a debate would be any shorter? Your post leads me to believe you really want to take the time and do the research. Most people aren't. They prefer to take the word of those who are set to make millions of dollars killing children in the womb.

SIck if this passes. Voters need to know the following if Proposal 3 passes: It would eliminate parental consent for minors for abortions or hormonal birth control or even sterilizations. It would make it easier for molesters to cover up their crimes because those aiding a young woman getting an abortion cannot be questioned. There could be unregulated abortions by non-doctors. It would deny medical care to premature babies, who with a bit of aid will survive and thrive. It will force tax-payer funding of abortion on demand. Many people who self identify as pro-choice see that Prop 3 is toxic!
