The Lennon Sisters' poise and charm in hosting this 1966 episode is of the same high caliber as their singing. The beautiful Viennese music featured in this show was astounding along with the costumes and sets. God certainly has blessed our repertoire with Austrian culture and talent. The Blenders quartet, led by Mr. Welk's show regular Steve Smith, was a most pleasant addition. I have also seen them perform on THE ADVENTURES OF OZZIE AND HARRIET television show. Thank you for an entertaining and relaxing hour!

Another episode that shows what we have known for so long; there is no theme that the Welkstars couldn't "tackle", let-alone master! Settings, costume, song selection, a medley from one of the greatest musicals of all time, and no shortage of German! Can I go to Austria now?? 🙂

I can pretty much guarantee that there was a heavy blanket of winter snow all around our farm home on February 26th of 1966. Even though my preteen 12 year self was naturally enjoying "The Beatles" and other modern music, our family was still also drawn to these grand days of excellent entertainment as we watched this Lawrence Welk show while the blizzard winds scoured the windows of that cozy farm home in south central Minnesota. ;o) You make this Saturday in 2022 enjoyable with this sharing!!! Thanks so much!! ;o)

This is where I get my Sunday evening hit of nostalgia with these great old fashioned charming productions from Lawrence Welk and crew. Always reminds me of dear old departed Dad who shared his love of these musical shows with me as a child. As an adult I realize that Lawrence Welk had the best musicians and I'm sure that surreptitiously fed into my musical education and taste. Thanks for posting and sharing!
