The shows from the 60's are the best!
Whenever I’m discouraged or lonely I listen to Lawrence Welk and reenergize with live and expectation❤️
I'm so damn weird! I wasn't even alive when this show was on the air and I'm hooked on it.

Welcome to the club! Well, I was alive when some of it first aired but never began watching it until it was on PBS.
Thank you so much for posting this. I used to record these to VHS and watch the band features incessantly. I had this episode on VHS, but in poor condition. I became a musician primarily because of the Welk band. Bob Havens is my hero. I've corresponded with him since I was 13. He just turned 90 earlier this month.
This is probably one of the final episodes to feature Nat Nevins before her departure(or dismissal) from the Welk show. I always liked it when Lawrence pronounced Norma Zimmer's surname as "Simmer"!
Agree, the 60's shows were the best,,, I like putting full screen on my 15 inch chrome book with blue tooth speaker,,, perfect
So glad you have this. Usually the one with Joanne Castle gets shown over and over
Super awesome Mother's Day show!! Was our last Mother's Day on our farm in southern Minnesota before moving west to Washington State 🎶😍🎶😍🎶
A one, and a two, and away we go! Upbeat and soothing music for lovely people. Timeless...
Peggy is the one who is pregnant is this clip. One could always tell the powers that be tried to cover up any pregnancy with a bouquet of flowers, a fence, a hat box, whatever it took to keep the girls young and virginal. What a different time indeed!
Wonderful! Another fine show, and thank you! No complaints on audio or video quality- what kind of equipment do you use for the transfer from vhs?

It's pretty low-tech. I first transfer to DVD on a VHS-to-DVD player/recorder and then I rip the DVD to MP4 on my laptop using VideoProc.

@@LawrenceWelkLPs I appreciate the information! You get a good result - it's actually very high quality, considering your source material must be over 30 years old.
