Oh so u don’t weigh manually the grind anymore? Thank u for ur response. I just got my barista express and im still having a hard time pulling a nice shot. I use 18g initially but when i use the razor there’s always an excess and ends up throwing it then i’ll be left with around 16-17g dose from that 18g whole beans.

Im using the pressurized double dose basket. And I’ve already achieved the 12o’clock pressure. My concern is, i never really got a nice tasting espresso, it’s either sour or very bitter. And also, having a hard time getting the correct extraction time 20-30sec.

@@AjusCafe I was getting great pressure and decent timing, I think I figured out my problem. A lot of people said it should be a 1 to 1 ratio more of a risotto. I tried that and it came out a little quick because I switched my grinder around, but pulling a 1 to 1 ratio took away the sourness. I guess pulling that extra water through brought out that sour flavor. It's not bad at all and I will keep trying to fine tune it. I am using 17g, on the 1 setting on my barista express.
