When I saw this video on TV in the 80s for me was the best, as soon I was able to ran to buy her album, the listener every afternoon when they came home from school

Long live the 80’s. The 80’s stands tall and proud. Nothing today compares to the songs of the 80’s. The Taylor Swiftees DON’T have a clue what good music is.

It's a trip that Laura was only in her mid-late 20s at the height of her success. There was a real sophisticated maturity to her songs, like you get the feeling she'd been hurt by guys before or just lived a lot of life which made her carry herself as older (especially compared to us Millennials who don't want to grow up and act our ages, lol). She was so beautiful and still looked young though.

Our opinion is that the 80's was the best time in music since the most sucessfull artists arosed during this period ( Madonna, Cyndi Lauper, Bands like Van Halen, Bon Jovie, REO Speedwagon, etc., just for mentioning some of them) and others from the 60's and 70's revived or rose to stardom; like Tina Turner, Michael Jackson, Diana Ross and Lionel Richie, etc. Even Laura got some recognizition and was nominated for some prizes like the Grammys or AMA's she was soon after forgotten. By that time I discovered her music and she became one of my favorite singers if not the most. Note that she performed at Vina del Mar, Chile with mexican star Luis Miguel many years ago. Laura was Italian and irish descendant and used to live in upstate New York. She unfortunately went through the death of this husband and suffered an accident where she was very close to death. She was very humble and used to name her fans "her other half". She died of a cerebral aneurysm in her sleep during early 2004.

one look at the musicians' credits will tell you she had some top quality musicians helping her.Harold Faltermeyer (keys) did the TOP GUN soundtrack. Robbie Buchanon (keys) was at the time a rising star in LA's studio scene. And you don't get any better than Carlos Vega on drums. Unfortunately the other names escape me.
