Laura had a beautiful voice. She was beautiful herself. "Solitaire" is my favorite song of hers. That note she holds just singing that word is just stunning. You are missed, and loved, Laura.

Amen to that, Johnny I have the album that has that song on it. Her ability to hold that high note without breakup is UNBELIEVABLE. My speakers have a high frequency tweeter that really DELIVERS her INCREDIBLE vocal cords. Such range, such beauty, such MISSED!

Laura Branigan & Melissa Manchester are my 2 favorite female singers. Too bad about Laura's death ; I never had the opportunity to hear her at a live concert performance. I've seen Melissa. Manchester in concert at least 6 times. In fact, at the last concert I was at, I was lucky enough to be able to go backstage after the concert was done & personally meet Melissa Manchester ; Face-to-face. A dream come true for Maria and I.

Man, that girl could sing! This is one of my all-time favorite songs. I love the way she just belts it out there at the end. Screw American Idol, this what a vocalist should sound like.

Laura had a VERY BIG voice. Her belts were amazing and effortless, Her lows is amazing too. She showed actual *talent* along with Cyndi Lauper. If only she was still living here singing her butt off infront of more than 1,000,000 people and making hits. But she had a bad farewell. Rest in peace, Laura Branigan (July 3, 1957 - August 26, 2004).

Yes she had also the perfect technique to sing this voice-thriller.Anyway I think she could sing it live like the studio version but often on live performances it is hard to catch the breath by a so lively song and the breath is the key. Watch "The power of love" - she had all what you needed to sing awesome!!! She was simply the best!!!
