Your arm seems insanely fast to be able to flip those rivers so much

The River is my favorite out of the four disks I throw with. I have written down every game I have played adding which disk I threw, the score, adding a note if there is a note to add. I have 43 games recorded. Just today I was throwing the River. On the 8th hole of a 9 hole par 3 course I got a birdie. The first throw glided to my left which was not intended, though was a good line between me and the basket. My second throw landed on top of the basket, then fell down into the basket. I ended on a +6 game, which is really strong for me. I have been practiciing alot, watching videos on KZread to get tips on how I can improve my form. I have also been listening to other players when they offer advice when I see them on the course.

One of my all time favourite discs. Orbit, opto-x and gold. All fly good. They need a lot of touch but they fly soooo far.

Thanks! Wow, your arm speed is fast. I can get Rivers to flip, but not like that. I find the Crave is my safer River. I took the river out of my bag for a while, but Im back to hoping the gold river will beat into a nice s-curve woods disc.

This looked promising but there were definitely a couple of shots you could have done again, for the sake of quality in the content.

I bag multiple rivers and was confused until the very end of the video. Especially with you arm speed you should throw 175-178g... Those were throwing like they were broken in. The gold flat should have little turn and good fade, the opto definitely has more turn. I have an O'Reilly river that is right in the middle of the two (by far my favorite). The gold definitely doesn't glide as far as the opto, which is insanely glidy and understable when broken in.

I used to bag Rivers for a while. Switched to the Stag which to me actually has more glide and will not turn into a roller from hyzer angle, lol. Really versatile tho, it can do a hyzer flip, turnover, pushing Hyzer, maybe a roller if you really juice it and set the angle well. I have an older Opto X as well that has Explorer type stability. So really versatile mold with the plastic variants. Try to get your hands on one to check out.

I actually just picked up a glow stag last week and I’m loving it! Only stag I’ve ever thrown and it’s amazing! Great hand feel too!

Blue: 171g / Orange: 172g

I thought it was just my throw with the River. It seems way more under stable than the numbers show. I keep burning it over. I now bad the Discmania Essense in this spot. It flies how I thought the river should fly.

@@DiscRespect It's my go to workhorse disc. Straight, slight s turn. Perfect for weaving through the woods.

Would you say opto has more or less glide?

Probably more glide overall. If they were the same stability I could see the opto flying just a touch farther!
