I was only 14 when this went down, but I can only imagine how important this was for television audiences. The WGA strike took out production for every prime time show, and this was before the internet became big and streaming services became a thing. Talk shows had to go on but they didn't hire any new writers bc of the strike so a lot of content produced during these couple of months wasn't as structured and a lot more loose. As a result, the strike forced Conan, Colbert, and Jon to create amazing comedy out of nothing. I wish Conan got to do more work w/ Jon and Colbert. He's been on Colbert's show a couple of times and both Jon and Colbert had cameos when Conan visited NYC a decade ago but those guys working in the same city could've produced a good amount of comedy chaos if Conan had never moved to L.A.
