Good show! Both drivers did an excellent job considering the track condition and size. Remember the little light vintage mod was built to race on tracks like that while the newer latemodel was designed more for our current larger wider smoother dry slick tracks.

Hell, the crate is doing his best to maintain a line AND stay out of the way of the red car at the same time. When he does finally get around the red car, he gets clipped on the right rear and turned into the wall. I'd be pissed.

Talkin' about when the modified hit the late model? I doubt that was on purpose, honestly. What likely happened is the modified went too hard on the throttle trying to keep up since he was just passed. Spun the tires a little too much and began to turn himself around. See it pretty often in dirt track racing.

  • @pauldenlinger1991

I did watch the race! and then i just watched it again to see if I agree with the post i made 9 months ago! I still believe the same thing. modified likely came out of the turn seeing that he was being passed. Trying to get a liiittle more speed out of the turn to keep up with the late model, he probably over drove the car and it began to spin out, causing him to turn down into the late model. now, clearly having a difference of an opinion on a subject doesn't sit well with you. I apologize for unwittingly causing you grief. I was just hoping to talk racing with a fellow fan or someone who might be potentially interested in the subject.

Garden shed requires 3/4 of the track and has to be on the gas all the time because of the rear steer on those cars. The older car handles far better, is far smaller and near certain to have a lot less power as well. About time the rule makers outlawed rear steer so the cars actually look good

  • @mickeysm64
