Late Amtrak 92 going through Columbia with horn salute from friendly Amtrak engineer

After getting word last night than Amtrak 92 the silver star was going to be a daylight run through Columbia due to Amtrak 91 striking a tractor trailer in Polk County Florida I got up bright and early and went to the cayce yard to stay ahead of it . After seeing L643 and Y102 leaving the yard I knew 92 was a long way away from my location so I went to the NS andrews yard to burn time and decided to get back before 12 since the downtown traffic was getting heavy and I checked the Amtrak VIA map to track the train and it’s location . After a long wait in the sweltering summer heat I heard the horn of 92 meaning it was arriving at my location . I was on the conductors side meaning I wasn’t able to get a wave but I managed to get a horn salute from a friendly engineer which made my day since this is my first ever catch of an Amtrak train in Columbia since the ones that run in time go in and out of Columbia during nighttime and the early morning hours so getting an Amtrak train in Columbia during the day is rare but a sweet catch . Enjoy and subscribe
