Thank you for showing me all those cool places in France that I have never been to or maybe will never see in person.👍 My family came over from France but have yet to find out exactly where they came from in France. 😊❤️

I enjoyed your video thank you very much sir. And as always please be safe and be careful. 😊👍🙏
Oh Sean, two lovely, enchanting chateaus to enjoy! As always, thank you for taking us along. Loved both of them. 💜
Loved these tours you give us of these beautiful chateaus! Thanks Sean!
The stone work is absolutely spectacular. What craftsmanship.
What an honor to live around all that history and beauty. I know many probably take it for granted, used to it. Thank you for sharing this stunning country with us.
Beautiful tour, the birds singing in the background were enchanting❤
The rain has made everything so luscious and green…… You live in a wonderful part of the world Sean!
Loved this episode! Certainly not forgotten
The 2nd chateau has had a lot of work done on it over the years to bring it back to it's former glory.👍
You never disappoint, Sean. Thank you! 🌞
Good morning. Good to see you again.😊

What lovely scenery.!
Thanks, Sean. Loved hearing about the hermit.
I am glad you are feeling better Sean I will look this up and see if they are doing reno on this to preserve it reminds me a little of Chateau de Montmagner Arnac des Postes. You and Sam should pay them a visit :) they are near Limoges so might be a ways away but they like you are a lovely couple so talented too. I too can imagine this place with moat and full rebuild :)
Such rich and beautiful history in France truly breathtaking thank you for sharing this Sean
Both wonderful old chateau 🎉. I enjoyed Sean. Thank you ❤
Lovely video, Sean. They have a peaceful charm to them. The music was a nice touch and the information on the history was interesting. 😊
I think that it is way more easy to built a chateau then renovating. The second chateau was very beautiful! Thank you for the tour.💋
Ypur comments help to eduate us! Thank you again.
These places are beautiful. Can't imagine ever living in something that huge. Just thinking about all the rooms that need dusting that would hurt. lol So much history there and I do love history. Thank you for letting me tag along to see the beauty. You have a great day and safe travels
Liking to paint myself, I could not resist either! Especially the view of the Chateau by the lake.
Thanks for this, high on the list. “I don’t care where they are from, they can’t park here!” 😂
🤩 it must be very hard to leave these beautiful places!! Just stunning!! Love the moss covered stones!!
It will take time but I just know it can be rebuilt back to it's former glory.😊❤️
Please bring us back to this garden in the summertime.

Will do 👍
It is still standing so that means it was built very well. 👍
That was an interesting adventure. I can't wait till you come back so we can go inside. Thanks for sharing, Sean ! 👍👍
What a great tour. Thanks
😂😂😂 As far as fixer-uppers go Sean, this place positively makes your own restoration/renovation project look like a child's cardboard dollhouse. Can you just imagine what it would be like to restore this beauty to a liveable state? Pretty amazing, lots of hard work and expense.
Sean, so beautiful, by the way you make a nice tour guide. If the walls could talk, what a story they could tell. Its so nice clean there, no trash in the streets. The stone work is amazing. Thank you for sharing.
One space at a time.👍
Fantastic tour! Can’t wait to see the inside of the chateau
This was one of your best ones. The filming, cute Sean-isms and music choices. Great job editing too ❤.
Sometimes I forget I'm watching history in France, I get confused that I could be in Great Britain, its so interesting to read how the 2 countries are connected.
Such magnificent castles/chateau. I hope you come back when the gardens are in full bloom. Love hearing all the birds in the background. Thanks for taking us along 😍😘
Love are little trips out while sat on the sofa ❤
Enjoyable video Sean. Keep them coming!!
That is a very nice view from that bench. 😊
Thank you for the wonderful chateau tours! Really enjoy the history and architecture😄❤️

Hi Libby thank you so much that's very kind 😊 all the best Sean and family
Thanks for another great video, Sean. The Mayenne is quite beautiful!
I would have a very sore neck after visiting these places, swivelling my head around, eagerly looking at all the beauty. I’m green with envy Sean, living here in Tasmania we don’t have magnificent places like these. ☹️ Thanks for the tour 😊
Thanks for the location map. It's on our agenda in a few weeks time!
I WAS THINKING IT NEEDED SOME BENCHES AND THERE IT WAS.
This was really enjoyable Sean. Amazing places.
Thank you once again for a lovely tour😊
You take us to some really interesting chateaux but I also love the more humble domestic features you find in the surrounding villages I'm fascinated by the wash houses and the gardens you showed today were lovely even so early in the year 😊❤
Sean, you can offer a pointing/rendering class for anyone wanting to volunteer to help restore that grand building! (Edit: You can allot a section of your exterior back wall to each student to learn how to render!)
#2loved the water rushing and streaming😊
The land of my ancestors. I try to visit when I can. It has a pull on me, no other place does.
What a lovely tour. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you for such a beautiful tour today. Love the architecture and the gardens; it's nice to see the thick green grass while I'm sitting here with the snow coming down outside. I've been dealing w/ a tooth ache all week and your videos have been a nice escape from that situation.

Thanks for the link that second one is extraordinary
Great video Sean. I love all the old buildings. The share tolls that you show us the quaint little towns. The cute little restaurants and places to get coffee and pastries. France is an amazing place. You can just feel the oldness in these towns And I love that you show us all these types of things. Totally impressed with your videos. And the gorgeous places that you show us in france just amazing. The architecture is just amazing. I love it. The old stone buildings are beautiful.

One castle ruin that's always gets my attention is Passey Les Tours. Never seen anybody do an up close walk around of it. If you have some free time in the future 😉
What a great video tour Sean. I've dreamed of traveling to Europe (I live in Florida) and exploring such places for years, but now elderly parents, grand children, and life in general make it difficult. I appreciate being able to at least experience it through your eyes and also your great commentary. Thank you!
How beautiful ❤
It's so lovely when these historic properties aren't just historical curiosities and are actively used and or lived in. The lower lake looks as though it has silted up over time, hence the 'island' on which those willows are growing; perhaps you could offer the owners the opportunity to remove them for your new garden project.....😅
A really great video Sean. Your camera work and editing is superb. Sorry I was late seeing this one. Thankyou for taking your time to show us.
That was interesting, Sean. Thanks for taking us along. ❤
Stunning! I look forward to seeing the insides.
I sure hope that they renovated back to its original state and they figure out how to generate income to keep maintenance up on it. 😊👍
Now there's a building for you to renovate! Rebuild, more like it! Not altogether unlike what Dan is doing on Escape to Rural France!
Love this channel you created and these history tours😊
So interesting really enjoyed this thanks for sharing ❤
💚
An other great video! You are the first video creator that I’ve seen that makes the point to describe the smells around you. There are some smells that are unique to a region or place. It’s those little details that make travelling such an experience, thanks for sharing them.

Thibault pronounced Tee-Boh (Thi is usually ""tee" in French -eg Thierry Henry (footballer( "Tee-air-ee On-ree" Thibault or Thibaut is French for Theobald (also Tybalt in Shakespeare is the same name) so "Bois Thiibault" means Theobald's Wood

King Arthur is a myth...he never really existed....if you believe the brits narrative he was contemporary to clovis King of the franc....technically clovis wasn't the first King of France, and before him many did regn over Brittany and Normandy so they are french even if at that time it was more recognised as celts while clovis was a franc. Celts are more related to Wales, brits and Scots, they aren't the same ethnic group as the franc and that maybe why King Arthur was always assimilated to the brits rather than the French. The history of France is much much older than Britain. There are myths that are much older than the King Arthur, and there are real stories that actually happened pre dating the myth of Arthur.
09:47 oh, wow!! Why does that place seem familiar? 12:13 😂😂 you could say that again! 16:38 do the residents get touchy when sightseers check out their stonework? I really enjoyed this one lots. Thank you for showing us around that beautiful place. 🫶🫶
