They really need to release this song as the first single from their next album. I know it's an older song but with the social movement to destigmatize mental illness, it's more relevant than ever. It's a song whose time has come.

agreed, this is actually the very 1st song I heard from them, (the video at the chapel) and that's all it took for me to fall in love with them

I think they did. That CD might be out of print now. I am sure that this audio was recorded in studio, or this might be a performance from which the audio was put on the CD.

You can use a youtube downloader if they haven't, and then rip an mp3 file from the video file. I've done it with some rare, hard to find songs.

I love this song. An extraordinary song, so particular, out of time, outside the box, from genres. Every time I hear them, but above all I watch them play this song, I shiver. I could listen to it a million times and not get tired.

Beautiful earings. This song lands on my soul gently. My great uncle Norman suffered from scitzofrenia his whole life. He managed to serve in the military successfully. The only real inspiration I had growing up that and superheros and villains. He passed away in a nursing home and cried his eyes out every time I left a visit. A very strong kind man he was 💯

An amazing song about a difficult topic..... Anyone who's had a family member with dementia will understand.

They kept this piece as pure as their earlier version. So much thought is in this piece. I love this song and its message. Their look has evolved as well. Megan is so very good looking. They both are...but Megan is so connected to that slide it's one with her.

Puts words to dementia and mental illness like I've never seen before. Thank you so much for giving this a voice. What it's like to live with this and the fear it will eventually come for you.

I love this song, but it makes me cry my eyes out. I think it hits a little too close to home.

I love this group, especially this song, even though I hate the truth in it. I've had friends the last 20 yrs. who have it. Some have passed on. One has a very good attitude about hers most of the time. I can't help the tears every time I listen or even read the lyrics. Don't come for me.

i went through the Alzheimers journey with my mom and all the lines remind me of what she went through as "time stole her mind." Time is NOT your friend with dementia.

This is my favourite Larkin Poe song...Love it from the 'church stage'.

I loved this song from the first time I heard it. I was hoping for a remake. Knowing the story behind it, this one hits me even harder. The slide guitar seemed much more eerie in this particular video. Fantastic job girls.

Mental Illness is real. I thought I was going to dodge dementia and a few other serious struggles but I was wrong.. These lyrics are so true. It's a struggle to hang on to logic. More people need to be educated on this subject! It's shattering lives everyday more and more.

Personally i prefer the Convent gig version. The acoustics in that place are epic. But that said it's difficult to fault any Larkin Poe performance. They sound great playing in a small hotel room or a stadium. kzread.info/dash/bejne/lnt5zMSDm9usmNY.html

As others have said, this should be released as a track, perhaps on the next album. Even use this version, cleaned up slightly on a mixer to take down the drums a bit..but not much else. They always do it well, but this performance has an extra depth to it even, and while it's a tough subject, it's a very real one, and many families have been touched by this.

And now it has been released!
