As a Hmong myself, I was able to recognize in this video that at 5:55 to 8:35 those were Hmong people. Also from 13:15 to the end of the video those were Mien people. All the groups in this video have different cultures and customs, and all their languages are completely different.

People of laos in general belonged to black tribes called mulam literally means black group. The language is relate to Tibetan family , that 's why you have found many similarities

3 enthnic groups of akha, hmong and the mien. If we had a country of our own and not had been governed by other countrys im sure we all would of been 1 nationality together which started off from Miao, you notice how each 3 has similarly in embroidery, colors and jewerly we would of been a beautiful culture. Just for example like how mongolia has many enthic groups, each clan has they're own tradtions and culture to celebrate but yet they all make up the mongol population.

There are many different ethnicities in this video, they're all not Akha. Akha's are one of the smaller minority groups in the country of Lao. Khmu and Hmong are the two largest.
