Landslide Trek Nepal: Himalayan Rainy Season 🇳🇵
■ HIMALAYA, MANASLU: Trekking during the rainy season in Nepal, when landslides are as ubiquitous as McDonald's restaurants in USA, is a hazardous ordeal. These landslides take entire mountain sides down with them, including of course any trail or road that may be in it's path.
I knew this before I set out on this trek up the Himalayan Manaslu circuit and I was indeed looking forward to it. But once I saw these landslides up close they were even more fun to traverse than anticipated.
Some of them however were so wild they looked and I thought them impossible to cross....

Harald: this is fun Sunil: fighting for his life
Everyone should indeed acknowledge the will power of these guys' effort in this video. Harald is much more used to danger and risk, since traveling the world is no easy feat, as seen in much of the adventures on the channel. Anyone who undertook a massively challenging mountain in their life could relate, especially the mental toughness and the relief of making it. Sunil was really brave also with the realisation of near-death experience. Harald was not dismissing of it with his comment of "what were you going to do with a helmet, you would just break your neck", he is just that more seasoned with risk and toughness. Also at 17:50 the sheer power of nepali treckers who bring up supplies.. in flip flops and T-shirts, without climbing boots and carrying tens of kilos on their backs in sacks. Amazing
Really got scared for Sunil. For Harald it’s a normal day stroll. But hats off to Sunil, he is a very brave patient man.

The same with Nepalese mount everest climbers (sherpas) without them it would be not possible to climb up. And they carry your stuff up without oxygen and they can see on time if you gonna make it or not if not they bring you back down.

To us soft people in the "modern" world it seems superhuman, but people can be far more capable than we realize. For example, humans became good hunters because we were able to run for a longer time than our prey. That fact blew my mind when I learned it. The biggest impediment is ourselves. We allow ourselves to be weak.
Harald, this was epic. We all know Sunil is from Nepal, but you have taken him on such a journey, one of which he has never exoerienced..... the poor guy has been hanging over a river by his finger tips.... attacked by leeches... and then during the night had to endure a frenzied attack by the wild potato chucker... brilliant fun. He is such a nice guy and fair play to him for really getting stuck in to this trip.
Proud of Sunil for this one and Harald for keeping him motivated to trek across the landslides. Sunil will look back and be very proud of this day.

Harald is used to doing things that could end in disaster and it gives me palpitations sometimes when I'm watching! Sherpas riding motorcycle taxis in the rocky and muddy landscape in flip flops---that's the best. I would tell you I want to do that for a living but I don't qualify. Harald showing the people of the area how to navigate the mountain climb is BRILLIANT. Juggling the camera, the walking stick, wits from the brain, the steep slopes, and dialogue...what is Harald not capable of doing all at once? Whatever Harald wants to do, he finds a way to do it. All landscape scenes with the sounds from the waterfalls are beeeuuuuteeeeful. Hospitality by the Lady of the Hotel Potato in the village on the river is honorable.

I just stumbled upon your travel videos, and let me tell you, they are nothing short of "progressively" entertaining! Your adventures are like a breath of fresh air in a world that sometimes feels as predictable as a hamster on a wheel. I mean, watching your videos feels like a ride on the most exciting roller coaster, but instead of screaming, we're all cheering for your progressive exploration of the world. It's like a never-ending quest to discover new places, cultures, and foods - a true "progressive" buffet for our wanderlust! You've got this fantastic ability to turn the most mundane situations into side-splitting, "progressively" funny anecdotes that have us in stitches. And speaking of progressive, you've got an uncanny knack for finding the quirkiest, most "progressively" unique spots wherever you go. It's like you have a sixth sense for locating places that make us question reality. Now that's some next-level progressiveness! Keep on being the progressive pioneer of travel entertainment that you are! Your videos are a shining beacon of fun and inspiration in a world that desperately needs a dose of laughter and exploration. Can't wait to see where your next adventure takes us - who knows, maybe you'll stumble upon a progressive colony of penguins who've mastered the art of tap dancing! 😄🐧✨
