I am Brazilian and I have a Land Rover Discovery 2017, unfortunately a mechanic had also condemned the turbine and the dpf of my vehicle. I researched and found your videos that helped a lot, I also have this problem with the error P 234-77, I already cleaned it and the next step will be to replace the part, cleaning was done but after 15,000km, the error returned. Congratulations on the channel, continue to help us.

Brilliant video here very helpful for those poor Land Rover owner's who are faced with this! Also BMW X5 driver's suffer similar issues but with the EGR flap sticking in the plastic moulding

Great vids... keep them comming.. i have an issue with D5 td6 SE.. rear transfer case or diff issue.. clunking noise coming from rear.. diff has been replaced by dealer already issue is still there..What can it be..??the transfer case??? Caea only just. Klicked over 50k😢
How does the oil dilution work ie what is the process that the fuel ends up in the oil ? Thanks

Hi guys, been trying to work out what’s wrong with my DPF on my BMW E88 I plugged in a diagnostic tool and it’s saying it’s my pressure sensor is faulty with the codes 4D00 and 4010 along with the 480A and 481A for the DPF being blocked but when I look at the live data it seems fine as I’m getting a normal reaction when the engine is on and when I accelerate sitting at around 13mbar I feel like it could possibly be my temp sensor as the readings from the live data seem a little off Exhaust temp before cat- 107c Exhaust gas temp before particle filter- -40.05c Surely the -40 temp can’t be right with the engine running
Mechanic suggested isolating the egr, making a donwpipe, eliminating the dpf, doing a reprogramming in the central. My question is, do you recommend it, or could this cause some other type of mechanical problem in the engine?

This is simply a case of Service Centres seeing the Wonger 💰 in their eyes.. Screw the customer and make a wuick easy win without diagnoses… firing the parts gun to make dosh
Seen you use a mityvac a few times anything else that can do the same job in vacuum and pressure testing ?

I just get them direct from land rover Bedford
It seems mental that the flap is controlling boost. Like i thought it would have more control over its self . Like as if tge car is boosting to much very strange thank you sir

The boost sensor sits on the throttle body just after the flap

@@ORileysAutos i all ways thought that throttle flap on the diesel just stopped over run when turning off the engine it shut iff . It must hsve lot more function on these engines
Now you just need a Freelander 2 with a P0299 error :D

@@ORileysAutos I've had this problem for 8 months. Can't get to the bottom of it. Replaced everything and rebuilt the turbo. Just ordered a new turbo to see if that's going to fix it.
He might of travelled far to see you but still a damn right cheaper then buying 2 new turbos if he went with the advice of the others

The car is seeing too much boost The boost is made by the turbos They come to the conclusion the turbos are faulty I maintain it is because being a mechanic in the UK is seen as a low skill job for thickos hence it attracts those that can just read a computer and fire up the parts cannon

Well it is kind of plausible, the wastegate is usually part of the turbo housing unless you have an aftermarket turbo. If the wastegate is stuck shut the turbo is going to overboost.
Garages in these areas are to be brutally honest utter shite up here in Scotland weer far better far far far better even the small garages would garages down there to bed that’s why we don’t get many videos of Scottish garages we’ve got nothing to prove
Google'd the DTC code and found static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2018/MC-10146059-9999.pdf , shocking really how this simple check could be done before such an expensive job like changing turbochargers could be considered. I assume this throttle type part is for regeneration purposes (like the "dosing head" on our Peugeot 3008 2.0 Hdi) whereby by-passing intercooling is required.

This is so good the information available to them is so extensive to start to deal with this problem that there is really no excuse for not trying these options first
