I wonder how many of those Facebook hounds could achieve this level of mechanical competence. What a daunting prospect to even start this project. You guys are an awesome team.

Best wishes to your father Christian on his 84th birthday 🎉. It’s great that he shows up now and then to help out. I’ve never seen a body off engine removal before. It looks very daunting. Cheers from Australia.
'I think the noise always happens when it's too late'. Brilliant.
A master class in body and engine removal. Well done to the three of you. It's great to see your Dad helping out.
“Pull it back a few _feet_”. Love it. Ft not metres. Even talking like UK Land Rover now ;-). Great vid.
you guys are priceless, please don't change anything about how you work together I (we) all appreciate the commitment in you filming your work and sharing with us 😊😊
Just watched this episode and want to congratulate you both on another entertaining video, such hard work and enthusiasm to give us all another great episode in this series. Thank you both and I am really looking forward to find out what has happened this engine.
Really really good work and I can't wait for the next update, thank you both Christian and OMG Vera, your channel has now become my favourite channel on KZread

Christian it’s important you don’t let them Facebook comments get to you buddy. You and Vera honestly are great. Your approach is stronger then diy and inspires people to have a go to save money on what can be potentially an expensive car to run if you don’t have a go yourself. Myself included. I look at some jobs and think no way. Watch your videos and sometimes I’m out same day having a go. Yourself and powerful uk inspired me and continue to do so. So much so I have created a new KZread too. Just for my discovery adventures. Be on the lookout for a mention many times ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

You two make a great team. Excellent communication! And entertaining
Another excellent video, very much looking forward to the diagnosis of the failure. Thank you Vera and Christian.
Vera!! Everyone needs a Vera in their lives. 👌
It’s great to be watching this process. In the shop, we really don’t think too much about creating tools, as we have them there. Plenty of others around too, and remind us “hey don’t forget THAT” or “that you don’t have to do yet”. Great respect for being able to do this big job in your own! I hope we’re all beginning to realize the engineer’s thoughts: “everything is real easy to do on this engine, you just need to take off the body!”
I'm afraid I agree with Vera, this could not be more exciting! Subscribed within the first few minutes of viewing. I am humbled by the enthusiasm for Land Rovers around the globe, whereas in the UK the brand is soon to quietly fade away, like a chastened dog, tail between its legs. Thanks to a pair of charming Germans keeping the spirit alive... I'd like to think Britain never really left Europe, we're just on a break.
Not many people would tackle that at home can't wait to see your progress on it 👍
From now on oil changes will be a body off job! There were parts of this video where I could feel the stress, well done getting it all apart and no damage.
Christian, Vera, An amazing video. I can't believe what you manage in your driveway. I love the ingenious solutions that you come with to solve the problems that LR techs would be stuck scratching their heads at.
OMG x 20 Vera style, what a great inspiring video. Your courage over the obstacles and mistakes, and the oversight that a broken engine won't turn. Thank you for sharing with us.
I've done engine swaps on Defenders but this Disco 4 body off is in another league. Chapeau. You are a great team; informative and entertaining.
That was amazing work - just love to see how you overcome challenges as they appear and just keep going. Can't wait till the next episode!
What a great team, wife, husband and dad working together efficiently.
Love the two “C’s” of this channel: The content & the couple! Can’t wait for to see the engine breakdown.
My wife and I enjoy watching your videos and seeing how you both work together to solve any problems. With love from the Colorado mountains.

I was looking forward to this. I have taken the body off my D3 3 times solo; it is a bittersweet job. Also, it is so convenient that the AC hoses were disconnected for you by the AC fairies 😉😂. Great job as always!!

Very impressive work, I look forward to new weekly video, i find it hard to believe you are not Brits as the humour is top draw,
Brilliant work! Well done to you both. Such a great milestone achievement! P.S. - I love the colour. The Disco looks great in navy blue.
Thank you for the hard work in making these videos 👍
I'm so humbled with your craftwork, you're awesome. Watching from South Africa.
"After we got the battery out we gonna go to the Doctor"......OH YES, I've been on that journey. Thank you for this lovely video.

Love watching you guys,we watch in admiration the work you do,very clinical in everything you do,by far the most enjoyable videos on KZread, and a happy birthday to your father, cheers Vera and Christian 😉
How you guys can do this with humour in incredible. Your both so talented. Love this channel.😃😃
Awesome video guys. You had me glued to every minute. Never seen a body removed in such detail.you both work so well together, combining the serious part and fun part. But still working very safely with what you have to work with. Looking forward to next video. All the best Jason.uk.
Once again, you go beyond amazing! I kinda suspect you do a LOT of research before tackling something as major as taking the body such a complex piece of machinery. Vera, You are his inspiration and rock and we haven't heard so many OMGs as we usually do - but they always crack me up! Thank you both, for the best car show on You Tube! Do Patreons get a free
Wow..way to go...I do all my repairs on the driveway including engine out ......but you two doing a body lift off job is altogether another level....saw your previous Land Rover engine rear build and that was fantastic...a crankshaft failure at that low a milage is crazy but for Land Rover it's quite common...I can't believe how many bloggs I've seen on crankshaft failures for this model...
That was like fighting the mightiest demon from hell while looking like a boss. Great video guys.
Wow! Thank you for sharing this so much. I just purchased 2014 that had a catastrophic engine failure. This video is undoubtedly helpful-cheers from Scottsdale, Arizona.
Excellent work Christian and Vera. I have a few jobs to do on my Disco 3 and watching this video makes them seem pretty straight forward. Cannot wait for the next few instalments of this story. I will set my clock for next Sunday morning. Happy Birthday to Christian's Dad👍🎂
Amazing work stated! Warning: Do NOT do this at home before checking out the market price of scrap metals
Great team work again, getting more ambitious with every video. Excellent job . Happy birthday to your dad.
Looking forward to the next instalment. Thanks for sharing 👍🏼
Land Rover...Turning Pedestrians into Mechanics for nearly 80 years!
My wife and I love watching your videos together. Keep up the good work.
Great effort. Thanks for keeping it real. Tough job and you sounded knackered at the end. Looking forward to round two. 👍
Great video and a charming couple. As a British person I am so embarrassed that LR cannot do reliability on their more recent offerings...
Next favourite channel to salvage rebuilds for me , and that says a lot .
I made my pit with 100mm boards so it is safe to drive on and jack cars up from them. Except I didn't dig it deep enough nor did I seal it properly so not only is it too shallow to work from but it fills with water. 😭 Maybe I'm not so smart. 🤣 I just found your channel and really enjoy the content and your fun together. How I wish my wife had an interest in my car projects so Christian you are a very lucky man to have such a wonderful lady to keep you right.
Great video as always guys, can’t wait for next week. Kind regards Lee.
Some wheel dolly's would come in handy when moving the chassis about. Another great video as always.👍
What a fantastic team effort! Bloody well done.
Great job. Absolutely amazing. Thank you both for another excellent video. Looking forward to the next one next week. 👏🙏
I enjoyed watching this great team effort. I don't even own a Land Rover Discovery but I think maybe after discovering this channel I'd like one, all I know is Vera says it must be a Mark 3 😁
It’s free until I say snap a good maxim to use. Anyone having to do this job is having all the catches show to you great job. Well done
Another brilliant video, I’m learning loads of information from your videos
60k kilometres and a wrecked engine, absolutely unbelievable. A very bad advert for LR. Great video.
You are doing a great job. I am a backyard mechanic from way back when it was easy to work on simple design cars. Totally in awe of your skills. Cars are now a total electronic nightmare to me but hey just up your street Christian. Keep up making the videos I have rapidly learned that I will never have the skills to do anything on my vehicles engine!
I am sure hoping there is no hail damage! That body removal and then engine removal was very impressive. I can't wait to see the engine apart! I did a quick safety inspection on your setup by watching the video, and saw nothing wrong. Remember, if the Facebook people find fault, there is an extremely high likelihood that the closest that have been to this type of work is watching a video and complaining about it!
Incredible. Can’t wait to see the issue inside. Such brilliant but flawed vehicles!
Just brilliant Christian and Vera. Happy birthday to your Dad as well.
@15.22, my dad is 95 in May, he gave up riding motorcycles at 89!, Happy Birthday to your dad
ITS LR TIME 😊😊😊 HAPPY MOTHERS DAY VERA🎉🎉🎉 ANOTHER GREAT VIDEO AGAIN.GREAT ORGANISATION,WILL MAKE IT SO MUCH EASIER WHEN EVERYTHING IS GOING BACK TOGETHER.VERY DAUNTING BUT EXCITING PROJECT.LOOKING FORWARD TO THE NEXT INSTALLMENT.GREAT TO SEE YOUR DAD HELPING OUT.GREETINGS FROM DUBLIN,IRELAND 😃😃😃
Really great video Guys, look at all that access with the body off 🙂🙂, can’t wait till next week, thank you for all your hard work 👍🏻
Im in the UK and TBH its full of Haters and horrible envious ppl... Well done you guys I love your detailed content and I'm addicted to your channel... Love your banter and relationship. well done from Liverpool.
Hi Christian and Vera. What a great episode this is - taking the body off a Disco 4 !!!! You guys do a really great and professional (or better !) job of this so I'm looking forward to what you find when you strip the engine. Happy birthday Papa ....
I’m replacing the inner rear plastic arches next week in my D4, that’s far enough for me technically on my driveway! Great work as always, looking forward to the seeing the progress.
Hello from the north, Another great episode, almost too short, I could have watched you for hours. I find Vera's love of order remarkable, I like that. I'm already looking forward to the next part. Best regards, Heinz.
A bloody good show guy’s. Well done, no question, outstanding work.
A mighty undertaking! So many OMGs in one video 😂👍
No One can Ever call you stupid! Amazing
Well done once again. Informative and entertaining. Happy Birthday to your father Christian. You are a wonderful family.
You have both done great with your first body off project. It seemed relatively painless - either plenty of editing or it really was relatively painless. A bummer about the oil pan, but you did come up with a solution. I am looking forward to what you do about rotating the engine. The other option if you can't rotate it is to take the heads off to see if there is something obvious, followed by the sump to view the crank & rods if you still can't turn it with the heads off. I know that would be a bugger, though they most likely have to come off anyway no matter what you find if it is an internal engine problem. I can't wait till part 2 of this series.
WOW! You guys kick a$$, this is going to be an awesome series!
You Two are an amazing team. I was only looking at some help to get the rear bumper off my D4 because I have handbrake wiring issues & ended up watching your whole video because its so impressive you working together and not getting angry or defeated with the magnitude of the job at hand. Well done and I take my hat off to you both!
Christian n Vera..............you two are the best !
Guten Sonntag send Vera & Christian. That was absolutely fantastic and I didn’t want it to end 😩 👍🏻🏴
You both are amazing! Congrats for such high level content. Keep going!
Christian and Vera mr & mrs super people what a double act just love how you work together 👍🧢🇬🇧
This is a great source of information on Land Rover LR3/LR4 issues and maintenance. Definitely has convinced me to keep my Land Rover Discovery 1 SD and never consider a LR3/LR4.
when he said that if his wife was there you would’ve heard 5 omg’s i busted out last laughing!👍🏿😂 Good content, keep em coming!
This was a very good one, well detailed. I'm curious to see how it's going to evoluate in the next episodes. Thanks!
A master class in body and engine removal.Amazing what you both achieve
Respect for attempting that outside on your drive. Best wishes
Amazing. First time seeing your videos. I can't imagine too many home mechanics taking on a daunting body-off job like this. I will be watching the next instalments to see how you line everything up and get the body back on.
Hi just watching your video in australia and it’s inspirational , I’ve owned one of these cars and had a nightmare time trying to repair and I gave up in the end . So I’m glad your having a win fixing this car , great mechanical teamwork and nice people . Good luck .
I wish I enjoyed fixing my Rover as much as this guy.
Wow Christian you are the man. Big big job . I will continue watching. Good luck. You can do it.
Fantastic video yet again. It is a pleasure to see how your equipment and techniques are progressing with time very relatable for all us diy-ers, also wish I'd have a lift for my brick god knows it needs more and more attention as time goes on😅
Best way to start a sunday. Warn cup of coffee and a new video. Great job as always.
Love how you’re organised and all the effort.
Wow! Hats off to you! Daunting process the first time around. Getting it back on will be even more interesting.
22.14 seconds of absolute comedy. Well done. Waiting and wanting more.
You guys are insane and awesome. Looking forward to this series!
Wow what a dynamic and fun couple. Awesome video
One word: ,, wow 😮 “. Great video ❤ love it.
Absolutely love this channel. Thank you for another entertaining video. Look forward to the next.
Fortunately I had no time during the week to watch the second half of this episode. I have to wait for the thrilling just 12 hours🙌
Another excellent video guys👍 I have to say that looked like a hardcore operation but I’d say you’re going to be quicker the next time,,, 😅so so looking forward too see what happens with the engine dismantling. Till next week be safe guys.
More superb content. So much to like. Thank you both.
it seems you like to work only in the winter time :-) impressive Job, thanks for sharing.
