Tour de France was fake?
I started watching the TdF in 1994 when Indurain was on top, and I watched all Lance's tours. These guy inspired me to take up recreational cycling and I got super fit and healthy because of it. This year, I'm 64, I tried one big mountain stage in France (Alpe D'Huez). The hardest physical challenge I've ever done. It was brutal. These guys ride over two other mountains AND do the Alpe, and that's just 1 stage out of 21. I had massive respect for these guys before, but after trying a stage myself... these guys are super human and I have nothing but admiration for them.

Jan Ulrich, Armstrongs long term adversary, was struggling over the last years: depression, drugs, alcohol and family left him. Only a few people remained with him. Once Armstrong heard of him struggling, he was there too.....He visited him multipel times, organised a stay in a drug addiction center and simply looked after him. That's who Lance Armstrong is.....

My grandpa is a great fan of cycling, he himself never used other transport than a bike (and trains). To this day he rides a bike at 89, with the small diffenence that he changed race bike to 3-wheeler, after he had fallen off a bike and broke his arm. I remember when I was a kid, there have been 2 tv at his place. One would be set to EuroSport 24/7 playing Tour de France, Tour de Pologne or Giro D'Italia. Second for the rest of family to use ;)
"It's Not About the Bike" is a fantastic read. As Lance said I can't believe how quickly decades go as I read it in 2014 and loved it.. It's a great book.

Despite the doping which everyone did and probably still do, I still think Lance remains one of the most incredible people in sports. What is asked of these incredible athletes who participate in probably the most gruelling and underpaid sport ever is ludicrous . No other athlete in the sport was able to bring so many people into it and promote it like he did. Maybe that’s why he was chosen to be the scapegoat for all the doping that was going on. Lance inspired me and helped me with my recovery of testicular cancer and was a great source of motivation. My wife had given me his book to read while I was going through chemotherapy and when I learned he was coming to my home town, I went to see him and he autographed it. I appreciate the idea of only watching the finals, but I guarantee you if you spent a year learning to play Golf. It would consume your thoughts all day long. Just some food for thought, as I was in the industry for years. It's also the most watched sport in the world because you can have it on in the background when you're working. It's quite relaxing and the best sport to alleviate tensions or anger, even if you are no good at it.

He destroyed people's lives in an effort to cover up his doping. He's not a legend; he's a coward and loser.
"Sorry" look what we got w/ "W' .. "Nice Guy" SOB Opened "Pandora's Box to Hell" .. You Get The Whole R Wing Pkg, when you Elect them to the Oval ..
You guys rule! Thanks for the honesty with all the other ba going around the world
Ten years Amstrong...👍 yeah.merry Christmas both Bill and Lance..
I was so mad at Lance because I believed him, now I’ve come to forgive him (and who am I to forgive anyone) and feel he’s more human and love him for it.

You right, who are you to forgive him, only the people who tried to destroy, have the right to forgive him. I'm more honest though, he is charming, slick, monster.

That’s how I feel. He’s done a lot of good with his foundation (which he is not a part of anymore) and apparent as of 3 years ago was their biggest donor
Love Lance Armstrong ! The guy is awesome, to pull off what he did and in front of the whole world is amazing… Don’t forget, all the other racers tested positive as well…

No they didn't. All the clean, great racers never had a chance, with very few exceptions. So, your adulation for him and your excuse for his "winning", makes your input null & void. It's not difficult to take down the "cheating supporters". It's as easy as beating a clean Armstrong!!
Who’s next? Jared from Subway?
Thats a hell of a quote “If I didn’t love women so much I would have got married” 😂
