Near death experiences expert Dr. John Burke visits the Maybe God Podcast to drop jaw-dropping evidence of the afterlife! Over the past 30 years, John has studied over one thousand near death experiences, spanning dozens of countries and cultures. His findings will transform the way you think about our short time on earth -- and everything that comes next.
So, what is a near death experience? As explained by John Burke: "When people clinically die, your heart stops beating and within a minute, your brainwave cease. And yet these people are resuscitated (either by modern medicine or in some cases, a miracle). They come back to life in and when they come back they report being more alive than they ever were, in a body that was still themselves. In fact, some people say, 'I was even more myself in a place more real than this.' In 2019, the European Academy of Neurology reported a study across 35 countries that showed that 5% of people across 35 countries have had a near death experience. So that's why I think it's so important to make sense of them. This is not just like a weirdo blip out there. 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗶𝘀 𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲, 𝗯𝘂𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝗱𝗼𝗻'𝘁 𝗼𝗳𝘁𝗲𝗻 𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗸 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗶𝘁."

Maybe a few religious do. And I sincerely want there to be an afterlife. But the science at best says NDE occur but there is a biological explanation. Doesn’t mean that there is no afterlife. Nor does it discount a higher power. But it is curious that this flimsy argument is the best evidence available.
