This is a naked vocal over a simple piano refrain. No autotune garbage here. Just pure talent! Now that doesn't mean everyone has to like it but I appreciate this. I think she could sing opera if she wanted to. She has an incredible vocal range. Beautiful!

Mm... I'm not so sure on her range, but she has a good strong alto here. I prefer this version to - well, frankly, to anything else she's done. Not a big fan of her as a person, she comes out with some right rubbish sometimes, but talent she has. That I admit.

The way she says honey makes me feel some type of way, she's so talented.

This is by far the best version of this piece and one of her finest accomplishments. The album version is over-produced and likely not her original vision. Masterful.

I can't stand haters that say Lana can't sing well live. LISTEN TO THIS, and a lot of her other performances! She's a really good singer. All singers sometimes have bad moments, but it doesn't mean they are bad. LANA DEL REY IS GORGEOUS WHEN SHE SINGS TOO!!!!!!!!!

@@naelyx8543 Well, perhaps not so much now as during her obsessive "27 club" phase. Remember I made that comment 4 years ago! She does seem to be developing a little more common sense when it comes to how problematic it is to glorify abusive relationships the way she's done from time to time.

she is stunning, especially when she smiles, fucking beautiful.

i honestly love the fact that every song is sung differently whenever she gets on stage. She tries new things with her voice as opposed to singing the same thing youd hear on the album.

Lana Del Rey may not always give the perfect vocal performance, but is that all this is really about now a days? When I listen to her music I feel like im in the 1950's, her voice and presence is so hauntingly beautiful who cares if theres a couple voice cracks. This is the stuff I fucking live for, magnificent purity. her voice is so pure.

This is the first thing i ever saw about Lana del Rey. Less than two years ago, i was up in the middle of the night watching an music channel in boredom, and then this video started. I just got amazed by her hypnotic voice for the whole video. So simple and beautiful. Only needing a piano company and her voice to do a masterpiece, in these days when music is so filled with extravagances. I had heard speaking of Born to Die and her but i really hadn't give much thought on it. But after that i just went to listen and got addicted to her songs. The lyrics, the voice, the melodies, all of them are just breathtaking, released or not. Thank you Lana.

Absolutely beautiful! I think this is the BEST vocal performance by Lana on this song. And her with just the piano is MAGICAL. She has STYLE and a FANTASTIC image, not to mention a deep artistic soul, period. If people today cannot understand that, we've lost all our sense of art, entertainment, style and creative expression. This video is when I first heard Lana and I was "mesmerized". This retro / hollywood style was beyond intriguing. I had heard about the infamous "SNL" incident and all the criticism, so I had to see and hear for myself who this person was. I loved it so much that I took my PC upstairs to my mom's apartment to get her opinion (mom was top-notch on judging artists, and a verrrrrryyyyy picky person, extremely hard to satisfy, and pretty dismissive on most of the new artists, now she's passed away). Well, she stood there in TOTAL silence throughout the whole video. At the end, she turned and said to me "play it again". That meant she LOVED it. We're talking someone who lived through all the decades up until now of great movies, music, singers, dancers, composers, etc. And she and I were always in agreement in our opinions. People, if you don't like Lana, free to do so, but keep your criticisms of her artistry to yourselves, that means you don't understand anything. Wake up!
