I think this was one of the best Lana Del Rey experiences I've had! I loved this album so much, I love the lyrical content (even if I disagree with certain actions). I love the instruments and how the guitar specifically plays a key role in the album. Of course how could I forget? Lana, wonderful beautiful Lana presents herself in such a poetic and interesting way. I would say some of her most raw and powerful songs are on this album. If you enjoyed the video, please leave a like! Have a beautiful day! Bye!!!

“West Coast” is an ✨experience✨😉
I love how everyone is surprised and shocked and 👀👀"wtf" when they hear the line "he hit me and it felt like a kiss" THAT'S what I love about lana she make people go like WOW???WTF with her true and rough and raw words. she writes what she feels and that's it. she's honest, she's brave, she's delicate and soooo personal

This line is a reference to a cover done by courtney love ! I believe the original song is done by four black women in the 60s. I think the line in ultraviolence is about an introduction to drugs done by her lover and it's probably a similar meaning in the courtney love cover ! It's an amazing line with much references and it makes so much sense that ultraviolence was chosen as the title track !

@@matthewli5249 The singing part was done in one take and the melody freestyled but the instruments were adjusted. Still as impressive imo, it's normal if they polish the instrumentation afterward, it's a commercial album.
In Black beauty she describes how it's like being in a relationship with a depressed person. They loved eavh other sm but it didn't work out. Such a beautiful and sad Song
the feeling in "West Coast" was captured perfectly! Hahaha, best reaction
ultraviolence definitely takes you to another sphere like every album of hers does it just transports you somewhere far far away
YOU'RE ACTUALLY RIGHT!! Jim from ultraviolence is someone who she relates to a cult leader figure, even the name might be reference (Jim Jones from the mass suicide in the 90s). it's like someone she couldn't image living without, a toxic relationship like the cult leaders do with their girls. she has been on cults and thats it. dark stuff right here and there. loves it

jim jones wanted his followers dead and they still loved him that's why she referenced jim here. she's not actually in a cult but the way she would do anything for him, feels cultish.

@@buttcheeksguy yes yes exaclty but she did was in cults when she was younger sksgfdfhg ik its weird but she talked about it once a very long time ago.. she quited tho, once she realized how bad the cult leader was
The whole album was done in single takes. She felt like she had something to prove after all the criticism she received after her debut.
Pretty when you cry is the perfect song👑

Gavin, I love your vídeos about Lana, and I wanted you to know that black beauty is about her former and long-term boyfriend Barrie James O'Neill who had a great relationship with her but got caught by depression and she couldn't make him happy despite the effort. California is about him too. He sings the unreleased officially song Summer wine and he's co-producing for of her songs in Blue Banisters. Love from Brazil!
loved it!! it's definitely my favorite album. hope you do more lana reactions (:
“He hit me and it felt like a kiss” is the title of a famous and controversial song by the Crystals written by the great songwriting duo of Goffin and King and produced by Phil Spector. It was based on some discussions with their babysitter (Little Eva who later had a number 1 with the locomotion Carole King regrets having anything to do with the song
i literally love your reactions with all my heart. it’s PERFECT.
27:45 WEST COAST IS EVERYTHING
i found this album in 2016 when i was in middle school, i would listen to this album everyday and as the years went by i started relating to it more so i have an emotional attachment to this album.
Tu reacción a West Coast me dio vida. Justo con esa canción me hice fan. Recuerdo oírla justo el día que se estrenó y ya no pude dejar de amarla 😍🥰
Such a good reaction!
finally someone who makes the same facial expressions as me when listenning to Lana's music I'm subscribing
Jim is alcohol, Jim Bean bourbon whiskey. "get a little bit of bourbon in ya" "jim brought me back, reminded me of when we were kids". she has an unhealthy relationship with alcohol but she loves it "he hit me and it felt like a kiss" "cause i was filled with poison"

OMG I LOVE YOUR GIGGLES
I think when one listens to Lana, one should see it as a novel with characters. It doesn't matter if she was or wasn't in a cult in real life. I think if you pay attention to the characters in the "chapters" you have a better chance of understanding what's going on.
I love this album, some of the lyrics are so shocking but so important. I know there are different theories on who/what 'Ultraviolence' is about (a person/alchohol) but either way, I feel like she portrays that feeling of being stuck and 'blind' in a toxic relationship so so well. There are moments when she 'romanticizes' (as many in toxic relationships do- deep down they know its wrong but they are manipulated in such a way that they believe it's real love, they make excuses for the abusive behavior) and then there are moments when the reality hits home, it's such a great balance. It still upsets me that she receives criticism for this album's lyrical content, but in my opinion, all stories deserve to be told, even if it leaves a bad taste, we learn from these stories.
yessss my fav album
The expressions he makes lol I think i´m love
You have to react to FLIPSIDE and IS THIS HAPPINESS.

Brooklyn Baby & West Coast>>> it's exactly how envision my Non- Cali life lol
all her albums up to the point of lust for life i think were writing about her past. So i dont think she recognised all of this things while she was in those relationships. Only after getting out and reflecting and writing about them she became more self aware
When will we get born to die and paradise!? Her introduction to her era. She came fuckin FLYING out of the gates with those albums
Is this happiness should be a hit
I don't do drugs but West Coast be really sending me to the clouds.

You're sweet when u worry about Lana, but that is part of her past, I think now she is in a better and healthy point, so dont worry so much but still feeling the music the way you do 🖤
SHADES OF COOL IS A MASTERPIECE
so i dont know if this is true but i remember reading somewhere that cruel world is actually about her past self/part of herself that shes letting go. it would make sense with the lyrics, but again, not sure if its true :)
YEEEEES🥳
please make a reaction on Is this happiness & Flipside, it's marvelous 💙
I understand bro I feel the same everty sigle time I liste to west coast
You have to listen to is this happiness and Flipside they are both from Ultraviolence
Ultraviolence I think is about addiction to a drug (or a person that feels like a drug), the comfort of it and in turn inflicting violence upon ones own self. Plus as someone who's been in SEVERAL toxic abusive relationships I can tell that is exactly how it feels- when they pay attention to you at all, no matter how bad, you feel glorified, validated. And of course, the finding ways to excuse their behavior. Jim is also in all probability Jim Bean. Or the industry.

S ITS THE FACIAL EXPRESSIONS FOR ME
i actually love u
I’ve been wanting to say this for a while now, but damn why do you have such pretty lips???
I feel like he's a fan, that he's heard the album before (like every fan), but he's reacting like he's never heard it, like it's something new for him. You can tell by the reactions that seem forced, and this is confirmed in the peaks of excitement, as if he had a premonition of a peak moment of the song (a spectacular bridge)... coincidence?
🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩
From everything I read she wasn't into herion herself. As a young teen she was drinking and doing some drugs though and went to rehab.
u should listen to money power glory featuring the weeknd!!
I think the cult is the music industry and the cult leader is either the producers…or the fans.
