Written by Elizabeth Grant (Lana Del Rey), Tropico is a short film “based on the biblical concept of sin and redemption”. She also uses the poem “I Sing the Body Electric”, by one of her favorite poets, Walt Whitman, as inspiration. “Whitman is my daddy” 🖤 I already love how speechless you two are. Songs were Body Electric, Gods and Monsters, and Bel Air... Such a beautiful and interesting short film. Lana's story of innocence, sin and redemption. Visually striking and pretty brilliant writing, the way they told the story with 3 of her songs. Great reaction as always :-) So exciting - you're about to enter the Ultraviolence era!! Get ready for a completely different side of Lana!!

Lana has a very dark past. At a very young age she suffered from alcoholism . She is also brilliant. She studied philosophy and stuff like that, making her incredibly interesting and in my opinion smart af. Tropico is such a powerful short film. The tension and the feeling of anxiety remind me of one of my favorite movies called "Nocturnal Animals", which I highly recommend watching it. Stoked to see more Lana video reactions. Cheers! 🤙🏻

I am not sure if they took the thread of the story to understand it, it is not that she chose that path, it was Eve in Eden or she felt like her, and after a series of unfortunate events she had to live that life, until he achieved redeem themselves. It is a beautiful story. It is a concept of life closely linked to that of 'Ride. Lana del Rey has very complex narratives. She is a poet.

I just watched this music video for the 100th time but this time like extremely high and I literally am so mind blown by the level of symbolism. It’s the great fall and rise of the human spirit. Perfection, Temptation, Redemption.

Well here I am again enjoying this reaction, maybe third or fourth time. I just realized why I liked your reactions so much. You are really emphatetic and can relate to stuff even though it might not correlate directly with your own personal experience. You can put yourself in other peoples shoes sort of say, and I’m like that to. I really wish you’d react to her songs without videos especially Btd/Paradise, UV and Nfr. You would enjoy it.

I would love to react to more from ldr but it's been hard even doing MV reactions because of blocks. But I'm a fan regardless, I've listened to all the albums now besides the newest one, every song is great in its own way

If, after THAT, that person says he or she isn't into her, well, there's no reason to try more, it's just not his or her thing.

Art is subjective. I also think that some of the greatest things are usually polarizing. Different is either loved or hated

1) She sees fame. She sees it, she feels it. She wants it she takes it. 2) She does whatever it took to get famous. In Los Angeles. 3) She becomes famous and rich.

Yeah I realized these a few years old, but I’ve been on a LDR kick and reaction video obsession for the past month so that must be why it was recommended. Oddly I never dove into much of her new stuff past the first album though I keep hearing it’s great. I’ll have to give it a shot, but with her music I have to be in the right mindset to listen or she gives me anxiety 😂 Are you guys in Canada or here in the U.S.?

I think there are some channels that mash together reactions but I think it would be kinda disrespectful to react to another reactor... Just doesn't feel right lol... I know a lot of us talk to each other and follow each other on here and Twitter, so it's cool to have that sense of community
